I was talking to a guy in a petrol station a few weeks ago, he drove in with an immaculate Avus B5, the car was like new. 19,600 odd miles from new. 1 owner car. I tried to twist his arm to sell but he said he had a few cars and just used this as his toy..... bummer.

Iain, your car looks like a really good example but sadly I cannot see you getting that amount for it (sure its worth it going by the pictures) but watching Pistonheads etc you seem to be seeing the same cars advertised and it seems that it is the well priced examples that are the ones that are selling.

Good luck with the sale though, its the perfect spec for me.

I think people have generally took offense because he has joined merely for selling his car, and made a claim its the lowest mileage in the UK. Never even said hello

ok hands up guys its not the lowest mileage around but it is the lowest one currently for sale to my knowledge.
i have been away on business for a few days, i have had some interesting enquiries but the car needs to go to a good home.
new lower price of £22,500
one of the main reasons for selling the car is that i am not using it and will be gutted to see it go.
i have some other bits for sale including spare front brakes, dog guard and boot liner the plate is also for sale for any body whos interested!!
ps i joined in 2006 and not just to sell my car thanks for the abuse and looking!!!!

And if we are logging low milers, there was Noggy with silver leather last summer at Fontain with around 25k miles.
A dealer in Kent wanted £21k for it, and a few weeks later it turned up at Fontain for £25k and it sold quickly but that was before the crash..

So, how would you price it from the details etc and pictures given the current climate???

Realistically it'd have to be £19,990 using "£2k adjustment per 10k" miles as a rule and working back from the bulk of cars at £17k / 70k average. However even that could take time - I think the V6 reg and DVD screen actually limit the market as not everybody wants them.

There is a seeming decent modded Red one with 57k on PH for £19495 and it was offered at £16500 on audisrs and is STILL for sale.

The used car market is recovering but this sector (expensive to buy and run) doesn't seem to be feeling the benefits judging by the number of cars week in week out on Autotrader.
