Hi, Im looking to try and get hold of a set of Alloy mirror covers for a B5 RS4. If you know of anyone or have any for sale please PM me and we can discuss.

I have an Avus silver car and the covers are painted but in fantastic unmarked condition if anyone is interested in a swap + cash

Thanks

Your going to have to swap complete mirrors.....not just the covers.

He's already spoken to me!

And gave him this idea, as it'll probably be the cheapest option, as I've seen some people on here don't like their Alu mirrors, especially those with black cars

cheaper option get them sprayed in silver. Believe me you cant tell the difference without touching them. Cant say what they will look like once the stonechips start forming.

Hahaha. Tell him how much it'll cost..........

Well, It cost me exactly £120 + 30 minutes of my own time to fit them...

A lucky find maybe, but managed to get a set of Genuine S3 alloy mirror covers of Ebay for £120 in fantastic condition..

Removed the mirror glass, removed the plastic underside cover plate...Slid the original Avus sliver painted covers off, Slid the new covers on, fixed with original fixings, and put the underside cover plate back on, very secure and now looking great !!

I did this on an S3 a number of years ago and went from plastic to Alloy without changing the mirror housings so it appears its the same for the RS4

Try over here:

Best check they are metal and not resprayed plastic ones first.

On a side note, can I replace the housing of my pre-facelift mirror for a facelift one so I can do the same thing?
