RS4 B7 For Sale
RS4 B7 For Sale
Hi All,
I am new to this forum but have read with interest the various posts regards 2nd hand prices. I am about to put my RS4 B7 up for sale and expect to achieve a good price.
I note a recent post regards the sale of 07 RS4(s) at Perth Audi for £42k + with avg mileage and also commentary from my local Audi garage regards re-sale (they are still moving them on regularly). The RS4 is a unique car and premium examples are very desirable.
As with all cars, mileage, spec & history are important. On any limited edition car such as the RS4 its obviously even more so. The best, high spec, low mile examples will always achieve a premium as they will continue to be desirable to the collector / enthusiast if ever put up for resale.
This is not to say the economy isn't affecting residual values. I expect to lose somewhere near to £7k on a car I bought in Jan, but for one post on this forum to suggest price drops to £28k for a 2yr old RS4 is laughable.
I may be wrong and I know circumstances sometimes dictate that a car must be sold, but would anyone honestly take such a huge hit on a car that will have cost up to £58k 2yrs previous? These are not Jags, M3's or 7 series BM's, the RS4 is a limited production, practical, everyday supercar. Personally i'm selling the car as I don't want to rack miles up on it with an imminent job change, but I for one won't let it go if i'm offered silly money.
Would welcome people's thoughts, and obviously if any enthusiasts are out there who want a showroom condition example, please get in touch via PM.
Steve

Was the new RS4 a limited production though? I didn't think it was.

Production was limited by the fact it stopped to make way for R8 production...
RE: RS4 B7 For Sale
best of luck but just a note that the perth audi example was dec 07 "57" so probably one of the last lot made.

RE: Re: RS4 B7 For Sale
Well I've been looking into selling my B7 RS4 for the last few weeks. It's an 06 reg saloon with 24,000 miles and a top spec. I would have to take approx £30,000 for a private sale and £27,000 for a trade sale. Needless to say it can't keep depreciating at that rate and in 4 years it must still be worth approx £18,000 so I'm going to keep it until its 4 years old and just enjoy what is a fantastic car. There's no point in trying to keep the miles down to keep the resale value up as then you don't get to enjoy the car!
Re: RE: Re: RS4 B7 For Sale
Could not agree more & exactly what i'm doing. Mine is an 07/07 Sprint Saloon & i'm approcahing 34K miles but each one of them has been great fun. It's already at 18mths the longest i've owned any car.BTCC-MAN wrote:Well I've been looking into selling my B7 RS4 for the last few weeks. It's an 06 reg saloon with 24,000 miles and a top spec. Re: RE: RS4 B7 For Sale
When is it ever a sellers market? Cars lose money, and they dont go back up over time like a house would after a recession.johneroberts wrote:ATM its a buyers market, not a sellers and its worth what anyone with money is prepared to pay for it... question is do you take that money now or even less in a months time or even less after christmas!
