B7 RS4 for sale

Post by kman » Thu Oct 16, 2008 4:27 pm

I've decided to put mine up for sale.

Its an Avus Silver saloon 07 plate with about 10500 miles, black interior with electric recaro seats (non-bucket), carbon fibre trim and lambo flat-bottom steering wheel.

Extras on the car are tech pack (satnav/adaptive xenons/cd changer), Bose hi-fi, Front seat heating, Tracker horizon and RS4 mats (along with usual high spec).

The car is in good condition (bar some small kerb marks on wheels) and is having its first service early next week, has plenty of tyre tread, unmarked interior etc. Has about 4 months of tracker subscription and road tax left as well as full dealer warranty (its a UK dealer supplied car), no finance/accidents etc.

If you are interested please let me know as I'd like to know the car is going to an enthusiast.

I am based in Bedfordshire.

part exchange: possibly a 996 or 993 Turbo :)

Yeh sorry i'l get some pics up soon. As for price, I'm open to offers but would be looking for around 38-39k at the moment.

I should add I'm the first registered owner too.

I wish people wouldn't make unhelpful comments like this - its only serving to put people off and drive prices lower.

Kman - If its any comfort, I've just sold my 56 plate Avant with 24k miles for £39k, so buyers are out there. Good luck with the sale, I think the price is about right for the age/mileage.

I have to agree, it really is pointless talking down prices as is the economy.

Totally agree! Comments like that serve no purpose or help at all!! Please take the doom and gloom to BMW's site!! If I was looking for another one then Id pay that price for that spec in a flash- Significantly good value against show room prices and I know this as I was offered 40k for mine from a dealer !!!similar spec 2 months ago. Buyers are out there and fuel prices are coming down and its exists as being still one of the most desirable in its class by a long way. Plus its rare in comparison. Good luck its worth every penny!! :)

A very encouraging read as my nephew is about to put his 07 Avant on the market, and with only 9k only on her he was thinking around the £40K mark,so good to know genuine buyers are still out there. :D

I have been 'lurking' on this site for months and this is the first post that has got me sufficiently interested/agitated to post a comment. Yes, I am a potential buyer of a B7 Avant and so I am biased but I think you guys have to get real - the economy is stuffed and will remain so for the next 12 to 18 months minimum - therefore you can't expect anything but severe pain in terms of 2nd hand prices of premium cars.

I very nearly bought a B7 in mid july for £43k from a trader, that car would now be worth £34k or so if I was selling it privately. I am obviously damn pleased I didn't splash the cash but I think they have further to go to reflect evey other asset out there. After all we have just got over the banking crisis so the 'real' recession hasn't even hit yet.

Just take a look at Autotrader and Pistonheads for a reality check with high mileage cars starting to dip under 30k. You do get the odd dreamer asking for a high 30's for a 56 plate but they just stay there for months.

Sorry to urinate on the parade but just because you guys are saving 30 quid a week on super unleaded doesn't change the basic economics.

Having said all this I seriously think these cars are a usuable classic and that if anything in a couple of years time the good ones might appreciate in value, the shame is I think this will be from a £25k base.

BTW if anyone does have a B7 RS4 in grey or black with buckets, flat wheel, Sat nav and carbon interior I am a cash buyer at £28k!!

Oh crikey ,i've been lurking on the site for ages too and i might as well join in and agree with above.

I've got a fully loaded 335D M Sport Touring with the DMS remap. List was £46000 and even though its only just over a year old the trade bids have been around £21000 ( the car does have 37500 on the clock )

I'm actually in a position that i might buy a second car and keep the 335D for work as i just can't seem to shift it. I'm probably in a similar position to most of you who are thinking of selling your RS4'S that the price its getting so low that you might as well keep it and run it into the ground.

I started a thread on PH in the summer of this year asking if we would see a new shape M3 for £32999 by Christmas. Well , we're two months away and there are now several M3's that have sold for under £34000. In fact there is a Black fully loaded coupe M3 07 on there now for £33000 with just 12000 on the clock !
