Boot liner only £50 from Audi, new, obviously (not that pricy for what it does IMHO)...

Mine (B5 2000 RS4 - presumably standard A4 Avant load cover) has a flexible dog guard built in. It's under a flap behind the rear head rests. Don't they all have this feature?

Yep - I think its designed as a luggage restraint rather than a dog guard, but it would do the job.

So you will soon be the archetypal guy in the supercar estate, complete with dog in the boot, burning up hapless porker owners.....

ollys - you know it :) I'm just wondering if my mut will fit in the back!!!

And although the car has the standard fitted net thingy - i don't think it will do the job for my dog. as soon as he realises he can chew it will be no time before he will be in the front with me!

That's a luggage restraint not a dog restraint...

It won't stop any decent sized dog. You need metal bars - no idea if audi do them though?

Out of the only one time I've allowed my partner's dog in the back of the RS, as much as I like her (the dog that is ) I had her in the boot, inside a metal cage which fit neatly in my boot (not banging around or damaging the inside of the boot area etc. - cage didn't move at all), with the net up.

Worked quite well - I was protecting the inside of my boot AS MUCH as I could...

The cage I think was purchased from Argos, for c£16.

A long shot I know, but I have a dog guard from an A3 (2001) lying around. I'm guessing it won't fit a 4 but I don't know if anyone knows different?

Boot liner on ebay from Stafford Audi - £35.00 - think they charge £20 P&P aswell, but someone kindly collected for me while they were in the area for price of a couple of beers (cheers Dave :beerchug: )

I have just bought a B5 S4 Avant and it has a dog guard in and the previous owner had a huge boxer so it definetly did the job. Not sure who it is made by or if original audi, i did fit very well and didn't rattle. PM me if interested
