Audi s2 coupe ABY 6spd for sale
Posted: Fri Apr 11, 2008 6:26 pm
This is a reluctant sale of my outstandingly immaculate audi s2 coupe. I have only had the car 3 months and bought it the same time I got engaged, the reason I am going to sell this before I get too atatched to it is that I can use the money to pay for the wedding venue e.t.c.
The car is a 1993 L reg s2 ABY coupe which is the 6 speed model. The car has covered 147K miles with an outstanding service history mostly done at Audi main dealerships and vag specialists. The car is due an MOT on the 24th of April but I will be getting it done before anyone buys it and the tax runs out on the 31st of May.
I must stress how this car is in outstanding condition it really must be viewed in person to be fully appreciated. The car has never been resprayed and is completely stone chip free! The only mark on the bodywork is a small scratch on the passengers door handle which would be cheap and easy to fix.
The interior is also as good as the exterior! The interior is finished in platinum grey and when I got the car I got a full interior shampoo and valet to freshen it up a bit and it looks brand new now. The drivers seat leg bolster is showing signs of wearing now but isn't burst still pretty good for 14 years old.
The services are all up to date with the last one being carried out this week with nothing to report. The brake discs and pads were replaced all round in April 2007 so are still in VGG. The tyres on the car are continental conti-sport's and all 4 still have plently of tread left. The alloys are like brand new also, no kerb marks, bubbling or scratches as they were refurbed at an Audi main dealer, got the reciept to prove.
I got the car dyno'd at Star Performance, who area rebutable vag specialist in january for purely diagnostic purposes. I just wanted to know if the car was running as it should be and it is running at 241.5BHP 248lbft of torque with graph to prove.
Since owning the car I have replaced/renewed the following parts:
Gearknob
Interior light and switch (same trim colour)
Intermediate window wiper relay
Windscreen (laminate started seperating then cracked)
3 dash light bulbs (not fitted yet)
Ignition switch
Wiper blades
ALL THE PARTS I HAVE LISTED WERE ALL GENUINE AUDI PARTS!
THe only mods on the car is the German style alloy pressed number plate and surrounds.
The oly thing on the car that lets it down is the drivers side electric window doesn't work and I haven't got round to fixing it but it should be an easy fix, It really can only be the motor or the switch, nothing too major.
This car is a stunning example of a completely standard and unmolested future classic.
Please feel free to call text or email me to ask any further questions about the car.
The car is based in Ayrshire Scotland
