Shame they all look Barry in the photo, IMHO. If the weight of the gear knob really does improve the shift, then I'd prefer to have a heavier one that looks OEM.
@ espengineering, are you doing one in an OEM look?

i will get back to you on that, im waiting on the boss getting back to me! i know they are really for that very reason making the change smoother and we have them fitted on my brothers friends audi and he loves it, he went for a plain one but engraving is easy as anything so any design would not be a problem, you could even have your own design on it as long as we had a picture it would be possible!

Thanks for the reply. For me, I think it would need to be the same size as the original and trimmed in leather.

Looks good. Would be nice to see a matt black one in different shapes. Somehting that doesnt look quite flashy. Something that suits the interior of the car.

yeah there is a platinum plated one it looks very nice a slight shine finish to it but would match the interior of the Audi nicely, I know i shouldn swear but i have a Seat and all my interior is black and that is the one im going for, in the rounded shape though its a perfect fit for a qucik gear change and iv only got small woman hands!

I'm not convinced titanium is a good choice. Unless it's anodized to an interesting colour, or alloyed (and there are some stunningly interesting alloys out there), then it galls, slides about, and wears off quite easily, in the same way uranium does. (I wouldn't recommend using uranium either, but that's for different reasons).

You cant anodise Stainless Steel, the reason we opted for titanium plating is primarily the colour change and it is the most hard wearing coating avaible for stainless steel, i.e wont get scratched if people are wearing jewelry. This has been tried and tested and we have never had any problems with it. Nice thinking though! We can coat it in Uranium 66 if you like you will have to go the Chernobyl to collect it!!

Also can i ask a question about the possibility of making the plates for the footwells as im not 100% sur what people are after, is it a hard fitted one to the footwell? or litterellay just a moveable metal plate? if some one fancies making a quick sketch and sending it over to my email i would be most grateful!
