B5 RS4 for Sale (Avus Silver standard HP)

Post by Golich » Mon Apr 02, 2007 12:59 pm

Waiting my new B7 in May/June and thus selling my stock HP Sept 2000 Avus Silver B5 with 71K miles. Mot and taxed until Sept 2007.

2 owners - I've had it for 3.5 yrs. Never been tracked while I've owned it.
Hi-tech Recaro electric heated seats
matching Carbon trim
SAT NAT TV+
Side guard/head air bags
Centre arm rest

FASH - Maintained what ever the cost - just spent over £3K in the last 3 months - timing belt and all aux belts, pumps etc replaced ahead of schedule despite selling! Therefore, in excellent condition both mechanically and body-wise.

Full history of EVERY receipt over last 3.5yrs.

Standard horse power engine. Rolling road print of 400+ bhp -apparently normal but more unusually 360ftlbs of torque - typically 325ftlb. So apparently a "good engine!"

Upgrades:
Full size spare wheel in boot - original puncture repair kit and liner still avail
RS6 8pot brakes callipers and B7 RS4 disks with RS6 flexi's fitted on Dec 06. Original callipers and disks etc still avail.
PhatBOX - orginal 6CD boot mounted still avail
APR snub front engine mount - fitted approx 1month back
DTS driveline stabiliser
New front dampers Dec 06 - Adjustable Konis but set to soft. Koni rears not fitted (too hard for me) avail.

New parts:
The car has had just about all the usual items that typically go wrong with these babies replaced over the years - with the exception of the gearbox. (Read the Buyers Guide on this site.)

New rear tyres 1month ago. New fronts approx 5months back.
All new rear bushes and opti flex alignment done 3weeks ago.
Cam chains and variable valve timing units-both heads and all associated gaskets. Fitted last week.
rear brake pads - waiting to go on.
Battery last year
EGTs approx 1.5 yrs back
MAF - last year
Rear wiper motor - last year.
Pollen filter tray
Rear disks 20K miles ago.
New turbos and 4 CATs replaced at 35K under warranty. Only 3 months after buying the car!!! So I'm paranoid about warming and cooling down turbos since my first S4 never mind the RS4!
Previous owner had the clutch replaced at 25K. I bought the car at 28K.
Only one alloy replaced. Still on soft alloys. So indicative of how I and previous owner has driven it!

So there you have it. I'm looking for £23K ONO as it is with all the extras, But I'll consider taking the extras off for £1K reduction in price. i.e. £1400 off 3month old front brakes, £160 PhatBOX, £100 full size spare and tyre. £200 DTS. All of which are a must have on this car.

PICS to follow once I get the <beep> of a body shop to remove clear protective trim they bodged and I get her polished up.

Patrick

No pics yet - Its got to go back to the bloody bodyshop AGAIN as some <beep> has distorted the plastic RS4 threshold plate. God only knows how the hell they managed that or what they were even doing touching it in the first place. I'm fecking sick of them.

4 new standard alloys fitted at Audi's expense last week. Apparently all 4 were between 2 and 3mm out. I never felt a thing. The tyre fitters never had a prob balancing - just goes to show!

Seriously, good luck with the sale Patrick

I think it's an absolute bargain at £22k - so don't go any lower...!

Nope, hes going for the RS4 B7 as mentioned at the start of the thread.

If I hadnt bought my S4 and this come along I would have snapped it up.

Seriously dont go any lower.

I think its too low. Worth around 24K at least in my book with all the exta bits like the sat nav brakes etc.

Do you take finance? :)

Having owned Patrick's previous S4, I can vouch for the fact that he is fanatical about his cars.
It also had a wad of receipts etc that would sink an aircraft carrier so I can guarantee that his will be every bit as good as it looks in the pictures.

Just a shame I don't have £22k or I'd be on my way up to bonnie Scotland now!!

Good luck with the sale Patrick.
