Stock only - insurance gets silly if they're not stock.
I'm looking to pay between 8 and 10k. I'm in the South of England.

Aparently, possibly due to my limited experience with performance cars (ie, looking for one to buy), my quote is a mite higher than that, at 886 per year.
The fact that I've been driving for 9.5 years with not a single claim/accident/conviction doesn't bring it down to anything near as low as you guys. I'm not convinced that being 26 helps much either.
Littleblue: Nogaro blue is one of the retina scorchers, I'm afraid.

Rikrose,
I am 26 and only paid £500 (fully comp) for my 99 S4 Avant. I have 6 years no claims etc etc, I had a VR6 before this and didn't pay an awful lot less.

fil - that IS from noel dazely. do you live in a good area, or a bad one? what industry do you work in?
marks - i'm guessing that's down to the VR6 - you have some experience.
looks like i just have to like it or lump it this year.

big differences can be seen depending on the area you live also. I'm in one of the worst insurance areas in the country, my NCD is older than St Nick and i'm 45 yrs old and i can't match the quotes some of the youngsters (no offence intended) get who live dahn saarf. £600 fully comp. The guy i bought my S4 from was paying £400 fully comp at 26 and was selling as he'd bought one of the last V8 Esprits that was costing him another £15 a year.
That said an S4 will be the most fun you'll have in a car short of modifying it with the addition of a familly size tub of chocolate body paint and Lindsey Lohan

Agreed. Here's one:

Seems like sensible money at the moment. Mileage needs checking, battery
cover is missing, MFD probably shot, wheels need refurb etc. but worth
a look. Especially if that mileage is genuine.

Si4: PM sent
mikeyquattro: I don't like it. It's pretty much that simple. Retina-scorching was possibly overstating my dislike for it, but I'm not one for the bold, in-your-face colours.
DavidT: apologies. I hadn't intended to start that discussion here.
shineydave: I agree, mostly with the last part. Is there a kit I can get for that, and if so, where from?
Uh, I'm wandering OT again. Anyone else want to offer me their car?
