Hello All,
I'm looking for an S4 (B5) 2.7 T.
My preferences are :-
Saloon
Black, blue, silver
2000 facelift model (any year)
Low mileage (pref up to 40,000)
Leather or half-leather
However, these are my preferences and I am flexible and will consider anything if the price/spec is right.
Look forward to hearing from you...
Rgds, Clive

Clive,
I saw this one on Pistonheads ... might be what you're after?

Thanks Andy.
That's exactly what I'm looking for, although a bit more than I wanted to pay.

Can't have it both ways....low mileage S4 are very rare, expecially saloons and the price is about right, You'll need to either up your budget or lower your sights.......IMHO of course.

It is a very well spec'd car - Recaros, Bose, sunroof, SatNav/TV ...
... on the other hand, it makes my car look like a bargain

I agree Andy.
Sorry Jeff, I'm new to this, you've lost me with "IMHO".

In My Humble Opinion - some people substitute Humble with Honest

Cheers Andy - that helps - I was worried it was along the same lines as "LMAO"!

Thankyou all for your advice and support in helping me find the S4 I was looking for.
Special thanks (sounds like a prizegiving speech!) to Andy (ammwhite) who spotted it on the Pistonheads website above, and to Julian (julesm) for his advice and a spin in his S4.
It was a long & winding road (quite literally) in finding this little beauty, but the fun isn't over yet! I did the deal on the back of the description & photos and drew up a contract which, amongst other things, said that the car would be exactly as described and drive as should.
On arrival some 400 miles away from the comfort of my home, it was exactly as described - except it splutters under load (above 4,500rpm, almost as if it has hit the rev limiter). We agreed a price reduction but I realise I have taken a big risk. It's going into the local Audi stealers for diagnosis on Friday, but in the meantime if anyone has experienced this or has any ideas as to what's wrong so I'm not ripped off, any advice would be gratefully received.

Glad to hear you got the car you were after Clive

Does this mean I get a finders fee
The buyer is coming to pick my car up tomorrow morning, so this is my last full day of S4 ownership

... at least for the time being - who knows what the future holds!
I'm on a much reduced budget for my next car, but I've got my eye on a Nissan 200SX for around £3.5k - I had one of these a few years ago (paid £17k for a 2 year old one then - the prices have really come down!) and it's quite a nice car for the money. They can be a bit hairy in the wet tho' - I'll miss the safety of 4WD having had a scooby and S4 for my last 2 cars.
I probably won't be around here much in the near future, so I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has helped me out on rs246

Sounds like it's got the Revo trial on it - there's mention of this type of issue in the S4 forum
Have a thumb through the forum and fish out the usual suspects including TBB etc.
Cheers

Thanks Ben,
As a newbie, can you please expand a bit on "Revo trial" and TBB...

Best off directing you back to the S4 forum where I can see you've already started to post. I'm not qualified to speak about the S4 as I've not had one, there are many talented people that have who should be able to help though.
Nice Spec car mate
