I live in the Aberdeen area. I'm considering selling my S4 to trade up to an RS4.

Spec is as follows

Imola Yellow S4 Avant
60500 miles First registered new 01/11/1999 It's a 98 model though. Bought from Cosworth it was apparently one of 4 show cars gifted to Cosworrth management when Audi bought Cosworth. Hence it was not registered. DVLA info to back up.

I'd have guestimated it be worth at least 13k privately! be careful of not selling it too cheap to be true, it puts people off..

Good price. but was the car fitted origanly with that interior. as that combination puts me off.

It's priced to sell quick.

I've put a £500 deposit on an RS4 and the dealer gets it for even less than £11500 if no one else catches it in the next week or two. I really can do without the hassle of the usual round of tire kickers.

It's a Nov 97 model but registered in 99. It's on an R plate. I thought somewhere between £12000-£13000. Based on what others are going for.

There's nothing wrong with the car. Folks can do a search on here to find out everything I've experienced over the last 22 months of ownership.

Believe it or not the trade price for this car is £8500! I have been quoted this from two different Audi dealerships. Needless to say there I didn't settle for that. But I’ still getting a crap price.

I’d like to know what trade in price dealers have been quoting for RS4s.

I'm split on the value of mods. Most new owners including myself initially don't appreciate the value/difference a chip and suspension makes to these babies and it puts them off.

I previously thought, "O this owner must be hard on the car... " I wanted an unmodified car. Now I'd much rather a modified RS4 so I don't have to stump another £1000 plus to do the inevitable.

But then my ideal was negaro interior and exterior. I got the interior. You have to see it.

You won't get much change from £6k if you want suspension, brakes, ECU and exhaust mods. I hope you've got deep pockets [img]images/graemlins/spineyes.gif[/img]

I'd only go for a remap. The RS4 suspension and brakes is perfectly adequate for fast road driving. In fact perfectly adequate for lunatic fast road driving.

They are just way too soft for the track.

There's a similar spec S4 (Imola, chip, miles etc etc)on Autotrader at the moment for £10k more [img]images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] I know which one I'd buy [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Bear in mind he'll get no-where near this but just goes to show.
If people get put off by the blue interior, they could always have it re-trimmed for about £700 by professionals.
Mo had his S3 done in silver alcantara for £600 and it looked cracking. Still make your car good value after the re-trim spend.
