Am I Correct in thinking this will fit an S4, improve the handling, and lower it into the bargain ? If so, I'll take it I'm sure I read a post where someone had fitted the RS4 suspension to an S4...
Where abouts are you if I want to pick it up ?

Its a bit too soon for me to buy this yet, but in an effort to learn, whose springs & dampers are they ?
(Just like Porsche don't actually make their suspension I doubt Audi do either).

Just wondered if they use Bilstein rebuildable/adjustable jobs or what.

Cheers,
John.

The Quattro Suspension kit is made up of Sachs and Eibach parts, they are fixed and not ajustable.
Cheers

Twas me ! And much happier for it too, however my car had done 80k miles so I would imagine that the orig. suspension was well and truly shot!

The RS4 stuff will fit without problems (hard to tell the difference between the S4 & RS4 components, they are even the same colour), however this is the GmbH kit, not the std RS4 kit.

Immediate benefits for me were; more controlled ride (much less dive under braking), improved cornering (flatter and less understeer) and a reduction in bounce (say over speed humps) - no downsides whatsoever as far as I can tell - not tracked yet, but he drop in ride height is not significant (10 - 20mm) enought to cause rubbing etc...

If the price is right, go for it !

as John says shocks are sachs, springs and rear anti roll bar are Eibach, all made for the sole resale of Audi

I have spoken to the UK Eibach rep and you cannot get them other than through Quattro GMBH

Cheers

So if the Stock RS4 suspension fits an S4, the GmbH springs and dampers 'should' also fit an S4? The only issue I see, is a possible difference in the antiroll bar fitting....

Nige,
Is your 4 pre or post 1999.
There is some difference between the two as a later MY ARB
would not fit my Feb 1999 car.

Phil,
Has it gone yet, may be interested if it will fit early 99 S4.

Shaun, my car is a face-lift '99 model !

Point to note - if I were spending £800 (+ fitting), I would want something that had been designed for my car like the H&R coilover kit. The RS4 is similar to the S4, but it is heavier and has different suspension geometry etc... just a thought
