So it's the discs that score the pads then ? very strange . On other vehicles it's the other way round .And I did have a look thanks .

Do you honestly think from my posts that I'm trying to negotiate to buy the car in Question or for that matter what ever car you own ?

On that note neither you or your mate are allowed to buy my bike , so there !!

Looks like I'm going to struggle to part with my 35 grand to buy a 20mpg during this recession on the lead up to Christmas , oh well I can but try .

What a shame...........

This is why I will soon think about moving on my RS4. All of sudden the car drops into a price bracket that allows Knob heads like you to stretch your budget just far enough to be able to buy one! I actually hate you for making say such a snobbish comment!! But I fear it to be the unfortunate truth….. the same thing happened in my E46 M3.

Don’t come on here and start slagging off people's cars especially when he is looking for a sale. You didn't want to buy the car and from what I can tell Rob didn't want to sell it to you so get over it and go find another car. But when you find one don't expect any help or advice from me or any other “nut swingersâ€
Current car..... hmmmmm????

Does that mean if I buy one of these cars you won't let me park in a field with you guys and talk about how to set the clock and where the oil filter is ? aaww , you really hurt my really feelings .

BTW , Look at the thread title , it's asking for cars for sale not "Who's not going to sell thier car" so kindly <beep> off and start your own thread about who might be worthy of owning your pride and joy . Surely you must have a litlte private section of your forum for that kind of thing .

So let's get back on topic , thankyou .

Nope.

Whilst I'm not quite sure why I'm continuing to participate in this thread, it is the pads that have the retaining rivets in them which scratch the discs. It is therefore the pads at fault, which are a lot cheaper to replace than discs.

Keep an eye on your discs for evidence of the issue, then change the pads ASAP before they f**k the discs. Problem solved because the new pads ostensibly have been modified (different part number) to negate this issue.
Look at the thread title , it's asking for cars for sale not "Who's not going to sell thier car"
So basically you want to sit on your a** and expect people to come running?

(FWIW, I suspect most RS4 owners don't give a f**k about our gas mileage even in a recession. I'm a Christopher Booker fan myself.)

A little playground psychology suggests when you want something somebody else has, you make the effort...

Most of us learned that a long time ago...

Right back to the topic, anything else you'd like to know?

How about posting a picture of your yellow brake pads and write a few words about them . You must be very proud of them to list them in your signature .

That's what I would've thought , but for the fact you previously told me "the discs score the pads "
