More like Vodka..... the proper Rusian stuff that does not freeze in the freezer
Is actually a fuel additive which increases the octane rating of pumped fuel. The RS 4 among others depends on a minimum of 97 ROn (Super unleaded) to perform well, and also to prevent things melting internally. Most here use Shell Optimax, or other Superunleaded fuels. By adding Millars you protect certain internals and if stuck, can use standard 94/95 ron fuel with it. I believe Millars is quoted as adding 1.75 ron to fuel.
Here endeth the lesson

Aha thats what I needed to know
So basically, as long as I know I defo have access to super unleaded I don't need it. Might be wise to keep a bottle in the car for long distances where you don't know whats going to be available to fill up with then
Cheers

It's not quite that simple - if you assume it adds 1.7 octane (please don't start this debate again), then if you add it to unleaded, you will get 95+1.7= 96.7=approx super unleaded. However, if you add it to super unleaded you will get 97+1.7=98.7. Adding it it to Optimax gives you the an octane rating of 98+1.7=99.7!So basically, as long as I know I defo have access to super unleaded I don't need it.
Now there are non believers here, but the fact is that the latest generation of Audi ECU can automatically adapt to changes in fuel quality - I have used Millers for 18 months now and can feel the difference in response, urgency etc..
Please be aware that it can take upto 3 tankfulls for your ECU to adapt to using Millers (also applies to Optimax too).
