SHARED OWNERSHIP!!!
SHARED OWNERSHIP!!!
Here’s a novel idea, and I’m just trying to gauge the interest at this moment in time.
I’m quiet able to afford an S4, but I’m really after an RS4, I was wondering if there was somebody out there who was in the same position as me and would be willing to enter into a partnership in the ownership of an RS4, this would suit me down to the ground if this potential partner didn’t live to far. I don’t need a car on a daily basis as I work from home, and the benefits of sharing the cost of ownership are obvious, so any interest?
Any idea why this might not be a good idea with out being obvious?

Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. It may possibly work with a dedicated race or trackday car where you can both turn up together with the vechile at an event and have an equal amount of fun in it with an aggrement that he who bends it mends it, sort of thing.
Personally think you would find to many conflicts sharing a car like this for road use and a very easy way to lose friends.

Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

I know two guys, which bought and share a 530PS Turbo for more than a year now and everything goes well untill now. Each one of them keeps the car for two weeks.
I don´t think it´s a good idea to search someone through the net because if you want to share such a car that guy should be your close friend, like the guys I know are. Otherwise I think it will not work out.

The RS4 sedan project
Bad Idea. I shared a speed boat with a good friend many years back for about 3years. It was a strain on our friendship as we had different ideas and differing commitments and money.
I would imagine a boat was a lot easier than a car. eg. who wrecked the tyres or chipped or bashed bla bla or damaged the gear box clutch. Have you been waming it up and cooling down before the turbos gave up so soon etc etc etc.
Don't do it..
