RS4 Wheels

Post by johnRS4 » Mon Nov 01, 2004 3:43 pm

I've got RS4 wheels, soft ones with Pirelli slik tyres. The wheels have been painted with graphite finish, all balanced and ready for track day. £800.00.

John

Ahh, that explains why you had so much grip at Spa !!!

I didn't realise you were running slicks... 8)

How much tread is left on the tyres ?
Or put another way, how many track days have they seen and how many would you guess are left in them ?

I thought they looked nice too.
Not sure if they'll suit my Noggy one quite as nice though.

Think I'll get some white wolfrace ones :smile_smoking:

Yes, you're right guys. I had my MTM wheels with Yokohama tyres like JR says :bigwave: . They are very good but the slicks are different story - they are unbeatable on the track.

The wheels I got from Phil :bigblink: , I have just resprayed in graphite finish so they look great. They've been balanced and are not bent at all, just perfect spare set for track day.

Dave:  the bike is really good fun and to give you an idea, it goes up to 70mph! It's got quick response throttle, it's water cooled and is original Italian bike, fully ready for racing. Just to give you an idea how powerful it is, weight to power is 2.2. The bike is brand new, I've only ridden it twice, so I'm looking for £1,500.

Cheers

It might have a power to weight ratio of 2.2 with you on it, that would double if I got onto it :bigblink: :thumb:

Simon, make sure you wear some shabby clothes tomorrow because you may end up looking like a scarecrow after one run!!! (..and shoes too!). Once you go, there's no turning back! :jump:

Have fresh set of plastic underwear and my old biking boots, not too worried about the hair as it is quickly thinning. Between pulling it out and it fallin out, there will soon be a barbour out of work :jump: :thumb:
