Andy,
I'm surprised it hasnt shifted on here - it is a mint car and just what I'm looking for (except the sticky out bit at the back!).
If it helps, if this were a saloon, I would offer you £14,500 no quibbling for such low mileage on a reasonably spec'd standard car, so based on what you said about a premium for the avant, I think you should get the £15,500 you're looking for.
Good luck with Autotrader, I've only once used it before and my car didnt shift (2.6 A4 quattro), and its not cheap - about £50 for a standard insertion. Having said that, I think I'm going to have to resort to Autotrader to sell my Mini Cooper S to make way for the S4 I'm looking for.
Best rgds, Clive

Thanks Clive  As you say, I think it's a fair price - just a matter of waiting for the right buyer to come along ... the S4 is quite a niche market car, not exactly your run-of-the-mill Focus or Golf !
cheers,
Andy (silver S4 Avant - completely standard!)

By the way, have you tried ebay?
Its a lot cheaper than Autotrader.

No, I haven't tried eBay ... I'm always a bit wary of cars being sold on eBay, don't know why? I've bought quite a few things of eBay myself, but never a car!

Anyway, I've paid for the Autotrader ad now, so I'll see how that goes first.
cheers,

OK - hope it sells quickly for you and you get want you want.
I've put my Mini Cooper S on there now.

She really is a fine example Andy. I would snap it up if it were a saloon.
Looks absolutely superb - keep the pics coming - I love it!

Cracking car. I was recently considering selling my 2000 W Avant which is not in as good nick as yours and has 60K on the clock and was offered between £13,500 and £14,250 by specialist dealers. I would definitely hold out for £15,500. Its a bargain with that mileage and that condition - wish it had been for sale when I was looking.....Ming Blue is not an easy colour to keep clean and looking good!!

OK, I've had some interest, and a couple of low-ball offers e.g. £13.5k, but nothing worth considering.
So, I've decided to reduce the price to £14,750 . I'm not prepared to let her go for much less than this - if I can't get it sold at this price, I'll just keep the car!
cheers,
Andy (silver S4 Avant - completely standard!)

Someone is going to get a real bargain. Where are you based? It would be worth speaking to Fontain as I know they would bite your hand off and probably give you around £14,500 for it (and sell it for £18k).

Jon,

I phoned Fontain when I first starting thinking about selling my car. They quoted my £12.5k :( but they did think I would be able to get around £15k selling it privately.

Anyway, I had an offer for £14,750 yesterday, so the car is now sold :D
cheers,
