Therefore I would suggest that this case is isolated and the issue with the original engine is isolated and unlikely to affect all engines.
Not all engines, but I don't believe this is the only example. However this thread is not about carbon build-up. :)

And in any event the OP has a new engine that is working well - so it's a bonus for the purchaser of this car to have a young engine.

And Kudos to the OP for being upfront, that in itself should instill confidence for the purchaser of this car.

Some dealerships have trouble trying to get a measly parking sensor approved through warranty. Other, larger dealerships have the power to authorise their own claims, or at least, provide the necessary evidence to make sure the claim goes through ;)
Good point. The other issue is mileage if course - if it's high mileage, the warranty company always tries to duck and dive claiming wear and tear etc etc. :x

depends if the problem is related to a wear and tear item...

I had no such problems with Audi warranty "duck and diving" on my previous 90k+, 5/6yr old RS 6 with an Audi warranty, it had £000's worth of warranty within 6 months, never had any wear and tear issues...

perhaps if it was a warranty direct policy for example, it might have been different

:kissmyrings: warranty - the only way to roll !

Audi warranty is the best, but it's still hard work sometimes
