New engine fitted due to carbon build up in inlet manifold leading to loss of power. Brand new engine fitted by Audi under warranty.
Will post some pics this week.

New engine fitted due to carbon build up in inlet manifold leading to loss of power.
After the new engine was fitted, did you notice the power difference & apart from the engine, was any other parts replaced?

Audi admitted to the above?

Thought this was a ' feature ' inherent with the Direct Injection design. Can't believe Audi would change every RS4 B7 engine ever made........!?!

are the engines only good for 30k?? have all the engines been replaced on all motors with 30k, or is yours different... if so does that mean it will need replacing in another 10 odd k time as that would be 60k

there has to be more too it....mines on 70k going strong and was in with Audi for 2 weeks and they had enough trouble getting the warranty co. to pay for replacing from flap sensors, let alone a whole engine. They had to send countless photo's and reports to get the approval.

Therefore I would suggest that this case is isolated and the issue with the original engine is isolated and unlikely to affect all engines.

But now with a new engine its good as new

Best of luck with the sale

It all depends on the dealership you take it to and how "flexible" they are.
Some dealerships have trouble trying to get a measly parking sensor approved through warranty. Other, larger dealerships have the power to authorise their own claims, or at least, provide the necessary evidence to make sure the claim goes through ;)
