I bought my RS4 after driving EVO's long-term RS4 down to Southern Spain for the launch of the E92 M3. 2000 miles of driving the RS4 and I was confident it was the better every-day car. I collected mine on 3rd September 2007 and have now covered just over 9000 miles.
Part of my reason for buying an RS4 was to occupy my attention whilst I waited for my R8 to be delivered, however I was surprised to discover when comparing them back to back that my RS4 was the more engagingly sporty car, at least at road speeds.
It is now time to sell my RS4, and a fitting conclusion would be that it goes to a good home. It's my first RS Audi and has changed my perception of what Audi are capable of, its a really magnificent car to drive and one of the best cross-country vehicles I have ever driven. Fuel economy for me has averaged just over 20mpg, with 23-24mpg on longer journeys, which was far better than I expected. It has been pretty cheap to run and being an Avant it's an excellent all rounder.
I protected the front of it with paintshield paint protection film from day 1, so there are no chips, scratches or blemishes to speak of. I have a fetish for car detailing, so if you appreciate a well waxed and protected car then you'll appreciate my RS4.
