This is possibly one of the best known S2 Avants in the UK, being the subject of many magazine articles. It is an understated but very quick car, extremely practical and surprisingly economical ( although that depends on just how you decide to drive it! ). As well as a full service history, this S2 has a surprisingly low, verifiable mileage.

Initially a VAG UK press car, it was then bought by Paul Harris, the editor of Volkswagen Audi Car magazine ( and later, Audi Driver magazine).

He had the car sent back to Germany by Scotts of Sloane Square, the Audi main dealer and UK representative for Nothelle engine, suspension and braking conversions, for the full N300 conversion to be carried out.

This car develops a measured 320bhp and 360lbFt of torque - figures which compare exceptionally well with a standard RS2 ( in fact I bought the car to replace my LHD RS2, and this car gives nothing away to it in terms of performance ).

The brakes are an uprated S2 set up, as the original Alcon replacements provided too many complications with regard to servicing! I don't drive the car brutally enough to make brake fade an issue.

RS2 springs and anti roll bars are fitted, along with adjustable Koni suspension, and 17" Cup replica wheels fitted with 225 45 tyres.

Exterior colour is Crystal Silver, and the car is fitted with a genuine RS2 grille / front valance.

Interior is silver grey with Jacquard satin upholstery.

Spec includes air-conditioning, tilt / slide sun roof, through load facility ( ski bag ), luggage cover.

The car has a full service history, and is taxed and MoT'd ( until September ).

I bought the car recently with every intention of keeping it, but my plans have been upset by unexpected redundancy, so I'm open to reasonable offers.
