Hi guys
Meant to do this ages ago but between work and chemo I am struggling to find the will to do anything some days! Need to have a clearout as Madam wants us moving in together on top of everything else currently going on....
Items can be collected from Farnham, Surrey if wanted. Payment via Bank Transfer or Paypal IF FEES ARE COVERED.
Various items for sale, some pretty well new as various "chemo brain" purchases were made over the last few months. Anyway, here we go:
GRAPHICS
MSI Radeon 6950 Twin Frozr with unlocked shaders. Never played with the clocking at all as was running WOW for madam, all I was concerned with was unlocked shaders. I modified the backplate to remove the potentially restrictive air grilles (yeah I know, pointless but...). Picture here - http://www.1stcallhosting.com/personal/ ... M_0088.JPG
Photo showing the opened grille slot better - http://www.1stcallhosting.com/personal/ ... M_0072.JPG
£75 INC delivery. - SOLD
"Ghetto modded" VTX Radeon 6950 with unlocked shaders. I got this for madams other machine and the VTX fan was bloody awful. I had an AC Accelero Twin Turbo cooler laying about that I couldn't do anything with so I butchered the fan assembly on it for fun to fit on the VTX heatsink. Looks hilarious but cools brilliantly and quietly too, sooooo much better than the VTX fan assembly. Again, never messed with the clocks as was used for WOW by madam in her home machine. The hot glue used in a few places is the higher temp stuff and is as solid as a rock. Pics here -

I did the same grille removal on the backplate of this card.

XFX XXX Edition Radeon 4870 1GB card with Akasa Vortexx Neo exhaust cooler. Supplied with a 3 pin fan connector so easy to plug on to mobo or on to a fan controller. End of the exhaust is taped to try to get all the possible hot air straight out of the back of the case, like the Zotac below. Pics below -

Zotac Geforce 8800GT 512MB card with Coolermaster exhaust cooler fitted. Had this running in a Media centre for a few years but that box has been retired and this has been sitting in a drawer. Supplied as seen in the pictures. The tape is on the end of the exhaust to help direct every possible bit of hot air straight out of the back of the case. A much, much better cooler than OE on these. Provided with a Molex connector as you can see, any of you with have a brain can make up a convertor easily

MOTHERBOARDS/CPU/RAM
Asus Maximus II GENE Motherboard (New), Lapped Q9650, 8GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR2-1066 (4x2GB). When building a WOW machine for madam while she spent more time over here during my treatment, I dusted off my lapped Q9650 and decided to give it a new lease of life. I bought a brand new "brown box" Asus Maximus II GENE motherboard, being one of the very best boards made for this processor, and as I had 8GB of Kingston RAM and had served me very well with the Q9650. Using one of the Noctua coolers it ran the chip at pretty well 4Ghz with almost everything on Auto (I have saved the working OC configs in the BIOS if it helps), nice and cool too. She got in to SWTOR and I got the modding bug again so I eneded up building her an almost identical i7 machine/Nvidia 680 rig so this machine was very short lived for no good reason whatsoever. The mobo wasn't even used for a week in the end!
You don't want to know what I paid for the mobo but it was three figures! Pictures of the combo -

Asus M3N78-VM Motherboard, AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition, 2GB Crucial DDR2-667 (2x1GB). Never overclocked at all, was used in my dad's home computer for a couple of years. Backplate is included but not shown in the photos. Pics here -

MSI G41M-P28 Motherboard, Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) Hyper-X DDR3-1333 RAM. This was going to be the initial WOW machine build for madam for here with the Q9650, but didn't even sit assembled for a day before I decided to buy the GENE board.... Works fine of course, I was simply a muppet and wanted to tinker fully with the Q9650 again and couldn't with this board. I bought the RAM at the same time and was used for less than a day too..... COOLERS
TWO Noctua NH-D14 Monster air coolers! One was used for a few months in my main i7 rig before I went back to watercooling for the hell of it and the other was used for less than a week on the GENE setup above in a Carbide 200 case. No need to waffle about these coolers as they are the daddy, pretty everyone knows that.

MONITORS
Iiyama Prolite E2475HDS 24" LED 1920x1080 monitor. I bought a pair of these and was using them on my work machine but I bought a couple of Asus monitors with smaller bezels and put the other one of these on madams machine. No scratches on the panel or dead/stuck pixels. I cannot guarantee that I can find/provide either a DVI or HDMI lead with this though so bear that in mind. Pic below -

Xigmatek Gigas Silver Micro ATX Case. Hardly used, don't have the original box but will be well packaged. A few glue marks (shown in pics) where you will never see them and I did a quick butcher on the restrictive rear fan guard for much greater airflow (and I was considering shoehorning a rad in there). What you see in the pics is what you get. Pretty sure all the normal position Micro ATX board mounts are in place but I have already used the spare screws in other things. Pics below -

MICE
Logitech G700 cordless gaming mouse. After many happy years with a MX1000 and MX Revolution, I gave one of these a try. I have massive gibbon-like hands and this didn't quite fit perfectly and I missed the charging stand. Only used for a few weeks if that. Boxed and 99% certain complete. Pic below -

Asus eee pad TF101 16Gb Transformer with Keyboard/dock. Boxed and complete (I put the power supply somewhere for safe keeping and have forgotten where but will find it!) I even bought a longer official charge cable instead of the short original one. Scratch-free, lightly used and was always fully discharged/charged. Running the latest Android OS which you can just easily update from within the settings. Pics below -
