I really don't recomend custom painting on these. I can only get Original Red calipers from R8 GT which are anodized and not painted.

Is the disc centre bore not different on the B8/R8 discs though?

I wish it was possible to use a custom disk and pads on the standard 8 pot caliper, I don't fully understand why a 'special' caliper is needed.

If I ever came across a large sum of money I think ceramics would be the first thing on my to do list! :D

This set if with Original Audi caliper holders, only need custom spacer between heel hub and ceramic caliper.

Pad sweep?
I think the 'ramic callipers are billet versus monoblock, but I do get your point, the latter would be more than sufficient for a road car. However, let's address the idea, in this case you'd be fitting an OEM Audi 'ramic disc to your car and then having 8 custom 'ramic pads baked to fit, excuse the pun but that doesn't sound like a great recipe for success. With discs costing what they do I'd prefer to mate them to the correct pad. Not that you'd have any recourse should these retrofitted discs fail, I just think you'd wanna be a little more pragmatic.... still, you pays your money...
No matter where you go, there you are.
