Not with NO resonators or valves, they're not !

a brand new non res is still close to £1k inc VAT and fitted

I really dont know why people are so snobby about no valves ... its a bloody V8, RS 4 ... go buy a bloody Polo if you want quiet

It's not about snobbishness DK, different folks have different requirements/needs.... plus some live in built-up areas with close neighbours etc.

My whole issue with Milltek is that I agree they sound fab BUT "imho" are completely overpriced for their "build quality". An awful lot of them are rusting badly when s/hand and not very old.
Cr*p welds, shoddy manufacture and poor quality s/steel are all I think it can be down to.

Agree Tim, though what looks like rust from the ones I have seen is simply 'surface' on the weld lines and if you are really keen it can be cleaned off. I also agree that they are definitely at the pricier end of the scale and are not quite up to Japanese quality when compared to some the performance exhausts those guys turn out for the likes of GTR's, Subarus etc.

Re the noise, its a bit of a lottery, mine at MRC's dyno day with the valves open was 3db louder than DK's non res non valved and mine is resonated! Go figure on that one

I live in a built up area, semi detached .... and I've got a 123db ASBO ... and non res Milly on a B7 is not really that loud
