Number plate: GT55 OFF

I brought this plate last year hoping id put it on a rs4 b7 as i was planning on buying one but was short lived as i ended up buying a b5 instead due to financial issues... Its costing me 1000 so looking at offers around there... Would suit any rs4 as it needs to be put on a car that can live up to the plate!! It must be put on a 2005 and above 55 and up. Thanks

Why the fuuck did you spend four figures on GT 55 OFF ?

Am I being really stupid, is it meant to read something?

Why would you want to make an 56 or 07 plate RS4 appear as an older 55 plate?

I've never understood seven-digit current-format plates unless they read something like DR11NKS, BR11DGE etc etc

I don't get the plate. ?

Is it meant to mean anything?

I've tried turning it upside down and everything - just in case it works for a car on its roof - and everything

Well the whole point of the number plate is to give the impression of it spelling GETS OFF (GT55 OFF) its a saying around our sides for cars that can accelerate off the line very quickly i.e "that car gets off"...

Hmmm, if it's not obvious immediately then it becomes a little difficult leaning out your window trying to explain it to someone, whilst you're tearing away from a set of traffic lights.
Also, it could be misunderstood, say, parked outside of a primary school, you'd look like a paedo i.e. GETS OFF on kids.

I think your misunderstanding the whole point of a private plate here, its private and it can mean what ever the person who owns it sees fit... and no one in their right mind would think of GT55 OFF as an offensive plate or having some sort of relation to "getting off on kids" thats just sick mate!

I completely understand the intricate and often highly scientific concept of owning a 'private plate', it took me a while but I got there in the end, I passed and got a 69% in private plate owning.
Why am I the sick one? All I did was put your number plate into a hypothetical everyday scenario and then I made an abstract comment about what people might think upon seeing it... BUT YOU OWN THE NUMBER PLATE, NOT ME.... sheesh and I'm the sick one!

lool I never meant your the sick one, i was taking about anyone who would have thought such of it or would do anything like that ... Im trying to sell a number plate, if someone has no interest in it.. what would they get out of trying to knock it? i dont understand forums sometimes and it really annoys me when your trying to sell something and you get the odd few who decide to have a discussion about the pros and cons surrounded by it and take the P*** out of it when clearly they have no interest in the item and if you were to meet them in person, they would never state half the things they would over the net.
