SWAP your 20” RS6 C7 wheels for my 21” non-PE RS6 C7 wheels?

Post by sasha320 » Wed Dec 27, 2017 11:06 am

I was wondering if anyone wanted to trade their set of 20 inch OEM RS6 wheels for my immaculate diamond cut 21 inch OEM RS6 rims (black)?

I need a set of winter wheels for the Alps and I am getting a new set of PE wheels with summer tyres, hence my current wheels are available.

I bought the car last week with newly refurbished 21” wheels so they are in main dealer showroom condition.

We would also need to talk about the sensors and the condition of the tyres on the respective wheels (mine have 4mm all round), so we’d have to come up with a balancing cash figure to even out the exchange - that said I’m looking for a simple transaction and accept that ultimately I am exchanging more valuable 21” wheels for a set of 20” wheels.

Cheers

You could always put a set of winter tyres on your spare 21s if there are no takers.

I could (and might), however snowchains can’t be used with 21s.

Also, in order of preference I like the PE 21s, then the stock 20s and then the original 21s.

Bizarre I know!

The wheels are perfect except for one 5p sized scuff (not dent) on the rear wheel. You wouldn’t notice if I hadn’t said so.

What tyres / sensors are on yours? And how old are the wheels?

Thanks

I am with you on order of preference - the 20 is a nice wheel, and light and strong (forged rather than cast).
I have two sets and happy to exchange one. Sept 2015, done 12k, need new tyres (not an issue for you). All perfectly round - unlike many 21s for sale - but two have some kerbing and would need refinishing if you want perfect wheels. Come with sensors, caps etc.
I am happy to chuck £200 to cover refurb at your end, but no more. And I would need confirmation that your dealer refurb was done by someone decent who checked the rims were true. We both pay our own transport.
Where are you based?

Not so bizarre, I also agree about the choice of wheels which is why I run both sets:

If it’s any use. I have two 20” for sale. £500 for the pair. You might find another couple in eBay!!

I now have 21” PE wheels on the car and I’m still keen to swap the original 21” black diamond cut wheels for 20” wheels.

The 21” black diamond cut wheels are off the car and immaculate except from one small 20p size scratch on one rim. So available for inspection etc.

Thanks

I will be selling my set of 10,000 mile, original ie non-refurbed, dished 20s at the end of August if you can wait that long.
