Hi Lady Penelope,

I'd urge you to re-read my post, and reconsider.

He has used a picture of someone else's car in an advert (without mentioning it isn't his) which happens to also have a completely different exhaust to the one he is advertising.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is no exhaust and this is an attempt at a scam!

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bit off?


P.S. I don't think there's much wrong with the forum, I think it's fantastic! If you want to see testosterone, head over to audizine...

Before deleting his B8 thread there was mention of Zorst, Wing Backed seats and a few other items I forget, which he was going to sell to us lucky enthusiasts. The eBay link also has negative feedback for the user on a set of Bucket seats.

Have to say I completely agree with you. 1st post, selling something, yet uses someone elses picture, not their own picture?!

There has been a horrific amount of this on the S2 forum recently. Especially in the Wanted threads, scammers replying to wanted posts claiming they have the items and will sell them for a tempting price, people sending money but not receiving anything. Why I personally prefer to deal face-to-face, or only with people I have met at car meets or have been posting for years and years

I also agree, if you can go to the effort of posting pictures why not the actual item your selling!
On the other hand this is for sale on ebay & he has 100% feed back so a bit of an odd 1??

Ok... Maybe I'm just too trusting.

Thanks very much for pointing that out. Have contacted the seller on eBay now. I doubt I'll hear back, so will report to eBay in the morning.

Seller took down the pic of my car on ebay last night and apologised.

He said he hasn't put his own pic up as it's still in the box. (I'd personally still put up a pic of the box.)

He apparently found the pic of mine by searching google for "Audi RS4 oval exhaust". Well that could be just about any RS4 exhaust, from a stock one, a custom one, or milltek etc etc!

Hi sorry haven't had chance to get on here, regarding the pics like you've mentioned i apologised on eBay and removed the photo, and like I said because the item is brand new and still in the box I don't have any photos of my own. I did Google rs4 dual exit oval exhausts to give someone an idea of size and look. It is not a scam and the exhaust is still available, it is the same as in the lower photo ( used from the advert which I bought it from)
Sorry for any inconvenience caused surprised to see so many responses to something so trivial!

Pics of the new exhaust and receipt of purchase, with your laptop / desktop / tablet / phone... In the background with RS246 page loaded up and your profile username. That should help prove authenticity.

You've lost me now! It was bought for my dads car which he eventually sold before it was fitted on the car, it was bought from Amazon I'll try and attach the advert, I can take a photo of the box of that helps? Lol

Open the box take a pic, so we can see the zorst. Put your computer in the pic with RS246 loaded up. You could even get a mug shot in with a big thumbs up.

Essentially calling custard here...
