A heated windscreen wasn't available for the C7 RS6 so after getting a stone chip in my original windscreen, and having had heated front screens in Range Rovers, I decided to have five heated windscreens made through Ricky Evans Motorsport (they're actually made by Tyneside Safety Glass). Five is the minimum number to make production viable. I recently collected my car after having the windscreen fitted by Challenge Motor Company of Cheltenham, my home town.
If any C7 RS6 owners would like a heated front windscreen they are available from Challenge Motor Company in Cheltenham. The owner also owns a C7 RS6 and is having one and I believe he has a customer for another, which leaves two available. If you're interested, contact Challenge.

Re: FS: C7 RS6 Heated Windscreen
Wow, this is great. I just bought a C7.5 today, but no heated windscreen lol. Any ideas on price? Is it HUD compatible
Re: FS: C7 RS6 Heated Windscreen
Impressive - out of interest what was the cost per item and how is it "switched" inside the car?

Re: FS: C7 RS6 Heated Windscreen
You will need to speak with Challenge Motor Company for a price but I would anticipate around £1k fitted. It's not a small job and the first installation took a while on my car. Now they know how to do it, it should be quicker. I don't know if the windscreens are HUD compatible as it wasn't a consideration for me. I will ask Ricky Evans Motorsport and report back.
Re: FS: C7 RS6 Heated Windscreen
The cost to me of having the 5 screens made was £1,851.60, or £370.32 each. I had them wired into the rear heated screen switch with 2 x 5-minute relays i.e. the front screen automatically switches off after 5-minutes. The screen has two separate elements: nearside and offside and each needs wiring separately. On the 2 or 3 occasions I've had cause to use it, it has worked superbly to clear the screen of ice in short order. I suspect I'll be using it a great deal in the coming days.

The screens I had made are NOT HUD compatible.Skier wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 3:21 pmYou will need to speak with Challenge Motor Company for a price but I would anticipate around £1k fitted. Re: FS: C7 RS6 Heated Windscreen
Any pictures of it installed on my car will simply look like a normal windscreen. You don't see the elements. The windscreen is like any OEM heated windscreen with wavy heating elements that somehow trick the brain into not seeing them. Obviously you can see them if you focus on the windscreen. The company that makes them (Tyneside Safety Glass) have done these for car shows like and Wheeler Dealers (Porsche 911 in the Elvis era) and Car S.O.S. (can't recall the episode). I've used it several times already this Autumn and it really is something every car should have unless garaged 100% of the time.
