WANTED: RS6 Winter Wheels

if anybody has or knows where (other than a main stealer) to get a set of 18" winter wheels for a C5 RS6, I will be grateful

You can use RS4 B5 rims with those spacer rings as an alternative

I have a hard set with nearly brand new Hankook winter tyres already on them

Amanda on here had them on her RS6 before her bigger brakes where fitted !!

How come you want 18's mate? Can't you just buy a set of after market wheels for the winter?

Thanks for the info on the B5 alloys. I was considering it as an option if I can't find original winter fit. What's the Offset on the B5 RS4 rims? Any Photos?

The reason 18's and not aftermarket is I spend a lot of time in the Alps at winter and so I need in theory to be able to fit chains not that I've ever needed to with a Quattro but legally the Austrians/Swiss will climb all over you especially in a RS with British plates. The aftermarket bit is I've always found their quality poor on larger rims in harsh conditions (long 5 month ski seasons)

Before I bought the RS I'd been reading a fair few of Amanda's posts across several forums.
How many gearboxes has her beast eaten so far? I counted 2 or 3 and although no pauper it made my bank account cry in sympathy!

She had her box serviced when she chewed her last TC so got some Yank one rated to alegidly 1100 nm which is waaay over what any RS6 could develop!!!

Her right boot must be an old diving boot because her mechanical sympathy is absolutely ZERO !!!

talk about driven like its stolen, first 3 weeks of ownership she had to FILL it DAILY

Anyhoo.... Back on track, my wheels are fine, got a bit of bubbling of the laquer around the ends of the spokes but not that bad!!
Sold 1 of them recently so got a set of 4 left

Got phots of the tyres but not the rims close up







Got them from Amanda, she hardly used them before fitting the C6 front & rear brakes to her car... says the standard ones didn't slow her down quickly enough she lives in Chester FFS not bonneville !!

She paid about 600 quid for them ( I have the reciept ) I paid her just under 400 I think

not sure what I'd sell the 4 rims and centre caps for, prob 150 per rim.

How come Amanda fitted spacers with them being ET20.
What width are the rims?

Spacers is probably the wrong word, more like spigot rings ?

Currently what looks like 3 good sets available on German eBay at reasonable prices.
These may be the best option ( for the price of a new set of tyres get wheels too!)

I'm only half looking ATM to be fair. I was thinking of a set of 19" BBS CK with winters on as up to now my search had been fruitless or overpriced and as I don't have any Alpine trips planned won't need snow chains. TBH after 10yrs of skiing the whole season in Austria I can't once remember needing snow chains on any of my previous Quattros so I probably will get 19"s.

Fellas, just acquired some fresh 19in winter tyres so will be posting my OEM winter 18s up in the next few days. Just need to get them out of the garage for some photos.
