Following on from this thread I've decided that I'd like to own a C5 RS6.

Not that fussed about age or mileage as long as it's got full service history.

Colour: grey, black, blue or silver (in order of preference).

Must have Milltek (or equally good) catback and DRC replaced.

I'd consider a remapped car as long as it's not too extreme.

Ideally I'd prefer a straight swap for my 2004/54 Mercedes W211 E55K. I know it's a long shot but there's no harm in asking.

How much is the Benzo worth? More details on the Benzo please.

5.4 ltr hand built Supercharged V8, what's not to like? I don't know anything about Mercs, never really been a fan but this is a cool car IMO.

The Benzo?

It's a 2004/54 plate, saloon, 88k miles, black, FSH, panoramic sunroof, heated/dynamic seats, MOT due in November (I'll get this done before the car goes), taxed until 02/13.

I'm guessing it's worth about £11k.

Didn't MRC do a pulley and map upgrade on one of these and get really good power?
I want to try a W211 E55K/E39 M5 at some point in my life. The tech that did my C6 brake upgrade has an E55K, he's taking me out in it next week.

Yes I think they did. You can get some very nice power gains from a pulley and a remap.

I had an E39 M5 before the E55. Lovely car but it felt gutless low down the rev range; you really had to keep the revs up to get the best out of it.

He offsets that as he also has a B5 RS4, and an RS 2 from new, I'll be okay.

Bam, I appreciate the concern but I've owned and attended various A8 owners clubs meets from about the age of 17, old guys don't fase (sp)? me.

I've decided that I can do without the hassle of selling the Merc and then having to shop around for a C5 so unless I can do a straight swap (or PX) with someone then I think I'm out.

Sorry to mess you about.
