C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
Having owned "Sarge" for almost 18 months, the time has reluctantly come to find him a new keeper.
(I've had an even better year than planned in my business and brought my upgrade plans forward)
The car has been very well known on this and other forums and really has been cared for whilst in my care and by previous owners.
As Dave (previous owner) said to me, "When people say buy a forum car, this is what they are talking about!"
When I bought the car it wanted for only a very few minor details and was missing only a couple of upgrades - I have attended to these and in my ownership I have:
Upgraded the SatNav and RNS to full RNS-E (including full digital TV and satnav upgrade)
Had the wheels fully refurbished (powder coated) by Lepsons (same colour)
Replaced the front screen (genuine audi)
Upgraded the wiper arms to Aero (OEM Audi)
New battery and alternator (last month)
New control arms all round
And regularly treated the leather to a generous coat of gliptone
I also meticulously lubricated all the rubber seals with Audi's hard to find specia oil on the doors, boot etc to ensure there are NO rattles, squeaks, clonks or otherwise.
The car drives without fault and is in outstanding condition, the wheels unmarked, it was recently serviced by Grizz at Unit20, then checked at QST last month when the alternator was replaced and I had an oil service done at the same time to top it up. The car is rarely left dirty and washed with top quality products and always with the two bucket method. Oh, and my children are only allowed in it without shoes on
...I have a healthy dose of OCD, in case you hadnt guessed.
I bought the car at 42k, and its only really done long journeys in the main in my ownership; this car is superb for long runs and eats the miles effortlessly - I have averaged over 20mpg most of the time (showing 22.5 over last 2k - but you dont buy a V8 for fuel consumption!), and the noise!! There when you want it, subtle when you want to cruise. Its not been thrashed or launched either (I have a clio race car for that behaviour!) (oh, and always run on Vpower or Tesco 99)
Dave had a Gold Warranty Direct policy on the car and I've maintained it - they have been excellent and paid out for the alternator, fan control module and control arms when they failed, without question. The warranty is comprehensive, fully transferable and will come with the car.
Anyway, on with the details:
2003 RS6 Saloon with 56k miles, with extensive OEM mods and upgrades.

20" OEM C6 RS6 Wheels in Gunmetal finish (just refurbished by Lepsons) and Goodyear Assymetric tyres all round
Black Leather with Piano trim and dark alcantara headlining
Heated seats front and rear, electrically adjustable front
RNS-E with digital TV, satnav, CD (6 disk changer still enabled and in the boot)
Dual zone climate control (ice cold aircon!)
Electric folding mirrors
MRC Tuning Map incl Gearbox to 550 PS / 840nm ( )

Maintained and serviced by MRC during previous ownership, then Grizz for last service and QST. Full history pack with every receipts for servicing and all mods throughout its life, organised for easy reference.
Low road tax due to age, 3 months MOT/Tax but will top up to full year MOT on it at time of sale.
I'm in no desperate rush to sell so mileage will increase slightly. The RS6 number plate is included and will stay with the car (RS, BCY is the engine code for the V8)
£17000.
Here's some pics - the first ones were a few months ago when the light was better, the rest are all iphone pics from yesterday (I'll update these as I went to photograph it and realised I left my SLR with a colleague ):

Re: C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
I have a bit of flex on price on this, would really love to see it go to a forum member before I put it on piston heads..
It's not really getting used at the moment, mileage crept up to 56,700 this week.

Re: C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
I know nick won't mind me posting this but i can't beleive this hasnt been snapped up!
For what you will spend on a car to then get it to this level is well over the asking price. now im not saying you get mod money back, i certainly didnt when i sold it to nick a year and a half ago.
Nick is time poor and cant do sarge justice right now so im going to give this the bump it deserves and having discussed it with nick know that he will let him go for less to a genuine enthusiast!
If you are seriously looking for A sorted 6, drop nick a pm!

Re: C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
yep ... you're easily talking a genuine £10,000 of desirable and in some cases necessary "EXTRA"s on this car ... which if you consider in Stock form this car would still be commanding top money due to condition, miles and provenance ...
easily the best saloon available in the UK at a bargain price

Re: C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
Sad thing is he is competing with the £11k crap out there and it takes one of us to know the difference. I honestly thought this had sold though.

Re: C5 RS6 Saloon - "Sarge" 56k, RNS-E & warranty
Thanks chaps.
No, not sold yet, but, as Dave points out, I wasn't in a rush to sell and have been really busy and travelling with work lately.
Car has done less than 700 miles since I posted the ad!
Still hate to see him go, but another car has my attention now and a deal is pending so I would move on the price within reason - I know I am aiming at a small potential market, but if you are after a sorted 6 that shouldn't cost the earth to run for the next few years (unlike most others) here it is!
Thanks for the bumps!
