I have my eye on a couple of 'plus' examples (PH) but both have alcantara/leather mix seats, and I would ideally prefer full leather - and black optics, under 100K miles and RNS-E would be a bonus

Surprisingly, metallic silver seems to be in the minority . . .

Nick Johnson had a silver non-Avus Plus for sale a while back, an ex forum car, optics and RNSE, mileage was dead on 100 iirc

Tbh, if I found the right car the mileage wouldn't bother me that much and this would have been right up my alley . . . but only an RS4 showing at NJM atm ;(

What's wrong with avus, can someone point out the difference, please?

To be fair - quite a few car pics I have seen online recenlty you can hardly tell . . . but in the flesh its chalk and cheese, nothing wrong with avus, just my own preference really

So which one is chalk and which is cheese?
While we're on the subject, why are chalk and cheese always compared? How do we know which of these textures is best? I mean, the phrase could've been coined by a teacher. He probably said it because he thought trying to write with cheese onto a blackboard was rubbish OR the phrase was coined by a cheese loving <beep>... if he wasn't a <beep>, why the fcuk did he eat some chalk for, who does that? And how did the phrase get this far anyway? It's a stupid phrase, the first time anyone mentioned "Oh those things are like chalk and cheese", someone should have said "What the fcuk are you talking about, <beep>?"

Metallic Silver is awesome and beasts Avus on the C5 IMO
Silver used to be the "in" coloour in the early noughties, but now its white, and as a result I think Silver is a cool colour

I used to own the Plus Ian_C is referring to - was a great sorted car

Still looking . . . tried to force myself into believing Grey + Black would suffice, but nope - has to be silver . . . can anyone help???

I’m just starting to think that I may try and add a C6 to the fold so I could be parting company with what I think is the best presented metallic silver plus (315) out there. The good news for you is that it is silver, has the usual plus black optics, RSN-E (with digital ratio & ipod/ipad link cable), immaculate black interior with brushed aluminium inlays, pristine paintwork and has just clocked 79,000 miles. The bad news from your perspective is that it has the black half alcantara seats (which still look like new and IMO show the signs of age less than all leather ones). PM me if this sounds of interest and I get some info and up to date photos sorted. Cheers Martin

Oddly, the C5 RS 6 actually looks REALLY good in silver. DK's plus looked awesome.
