For Sale [Non Audi] '94 Alpina B2.5 BMW £2,450

Hi,

After 2.5 years of happy ownership, I've decided to sell my genuine 1994 Alpina B2.5 - number L0001.

I'm actually in no desperate rush to sell it, but have had a slight windfall, so am going to upgrade to something a bit newer.

I bought it at around 90,000 miles and it has now done 94,000 miles. Needless to say, I've spent time cleaning and waxing it than I have driving it!

The car is completely standard except for a performance air filter, uprated pads, rear headrests and front arm rest (and CD player I think?).

It comes with full service history (last service was at 89,000 miles), tax until the end of November and MOTd until mid September.

For those that don't know about this car (it is very rare!), it is based on the the BMW 325i coupe. Alpina then changed the following:

Full stainless exhaust
Modified Cam
Modified ECU
M-Tec suspension (I believe you could option M-tec or Alpina - this has M-Tec)
Alpina front, side and rear spoilers / bodykit
Cream leather interior with green piping
Alpina gear leaver
Alpina steering wheel
17" Alpina alloys (light!)
Electric sunroof

I've read various articles about the claimed BHP (mostly on here!) They reckon it is probably between 200 and 220. I've never had it on a rolling road. I've driven a standard e36 325i though and it is very noticably faster and handles better. Not to mention significantly better looking (IMO!). According to the spec sheet (comes with the car), it has 212 BHP.

Recently, I've had new discs and yellow stuff performance pads fitted along with performance fluid. This made a big difference to the braking performance. It also got a new battery recently.

Comes with the standard BMW handbook along with the Alpina spec sheets, and all the receipts. There are several old MOTs and loads of tax discs. There's an HPI check from the previous owner as well.

Bad bits:
The rear arches are starting to corrode. Its not too bad just now, but if I was keeping it (which I might!), then I'd get them sorted before next winter.
There is/was an issue with the driver's side electric window. The "auto up" function never worked (apparently very common?), but the whole window stopped working recently. I took it to the local garage who fixed it, but now it makes a strange noise just as the window closes - just the last few cms. I can only describe it as a sort of farting noise!
That's it.

It was advertised at £2,750, but happy to take £2,450.

I'm on the look out for a B5 RS4 / S4 or C5 RS6, so would consider a part exchange if anyone is interested?
