I recently sold my 5dr DSG 06 plate with 45k R32 for 9k. Only options it was missing were sunroof/parking sensors/phone prep. I took less than 10k. I think you may need to prepare yourself for some haggling.

^^^ erm, his is a 57 (vs. 06) and has 22k (vs. 45k) and is mint ... sure he'll be ok

3dr manual v 5dr DSG - 3 dr certainly more desirable.
The car is absolutely MINT and drives flawlessly, and is damn quick!

Yep, maybe, though 5 door DSG with leather/nav is rare and also desirable. It was also mint and in DBP, arguable the most desirable colour.
Take a look at the cars on PH, they say a lot in terms of price.

I actually thought it was a really good price. I sold by 40k on a 57 with all the options for £14800 in November Last.

I think the issue now is the sheer quantity of cars available, there's a lot of choice, add in top whack road tax and a bit of a thirst prices haven't held up.
Still, they are a good motor, I loved mine.

FYI, I recently sold my 06 R32, 40k miles, 5-Door, Black, DSG with Recaro buckets, Sunroof and all extras for £11,950.
Had it up for £12.250 and first viewer bought it.
I think the 5-door actually worked in my favour as it was the only 5-door one of that spec on PH and the buyer was after 5-door.
