Price: £4500 ovno
Had a potential buyer drive car last week and said the car wasn't running properly and was accelerating in 3rd gear like it was in 5th gear and didn't have the performance of another S4 he looked at that he didn't buy (too many 'issues'). So he didn't buy the car much to my annoyance as he said he would.
However I took her to Doug at MRC in Banbury and VOILA!
2 diverter valves, 1 MAF, a health check done and £315 later and drives like a brand new car!
I have had the car just over 2 years and it's never driven like this! The speed and acceleration now are incredible compared to what I was used to! It feels a third quicker!
So many thanks mate you did me a favour, but more importantly to Doug at MRC for putting my Noggy blue the way she should be!
6 speed manual gearbox (faultless),
Nogaro Blue paintwork (very good condition all round with usual stone chips here and there on bonnet as you would expect for an 11 year old car (see below), but all in all I regularly clean and detail the car with clay, cleaner, polish and canuba wax the car regularly and it always comes up fantastic! Many say how great it looks when it is gleaming!
Alcantara blue with black leather fully electric adjustable Recaro seats and blue alcantara interior (had 2 people only sat in the back once in my 2 years ownership and they look new!),
Carpets are all pristine as I have other mats over the front ones to protect them,
Carbon fibre door and dash inserts with blue alcantara,
Pads and discs 1 year old (EBC Red Stuff brake pads),
All usual spares such as full alloy spare wheel with good tyre, hazard triangles, first aid kit in rear arm rest, retractable boot cover,
All electrics work fine bar rear wiper (see below) and comes fully loaded as you would expect,
4 new Pirelli P6000 tyres all round 5 months ago so 10000 miles left in them!,
BOSE symphony surround sound system (sounds amazing... if you haven't heard the BOSE system eveyone that does for the first time is dumb founded at the clarity and quality... and bass!). Includes 6disc CD changer hidden in boot,
Detachable 'standard' Towbar (I removed tow bar on purchase and it sits with the spare wheel, and it is easily attached again if needed, and was assured it was used for light pulling of a small trailer for taking rubbish to dump),
It has everything, cruise control, electric heated wing mirrors, climate control (freezing cold air conditioning and warm heat for the winter), 3 rear seat belts etc...
Phoned and emailed the technician that did the cambelt at 70K miles and he cannot print the reciept / invoice off as he doesn't have the paperwork again. But he said anyone is more than welcome to phone him to confirm. He said he had to buy a special tool ot do the work as he thought he would do more S4 / RS4 cambelts but hasn't done another since and is why he remembered my car so well.
Can't think what else to say but the car drives as it should and faultless. No knocks, noises or whirs and everything is tight as a drum. I have looked after the car well and am just selling to purchase the same colour RS4 if possible or Mercedes E55 AMG. So only selling to upgrade the car to a V8 or similar performance as I am 40 years young and want my next car to be a keeper and give me a bigger smile every time, not because I need to.
Now the 'not so bad' bits...
Firstly the rear bumper had scratches on the paintwork from the previous owner allowing their blasted dog to jump in the back and their claws had scratched the paintwork... I have now had the rear bumper resprayed last week (cost £140 as my friend is a car sprayer and now looks immaculate!)... so not really a bad point after all!
The bonnet has a very small stone chip but hardly noticeable.
The drivers side blue plastic handle surround has scratches on it from last owners ring by the looks of it, so purchasing a new insert would be straight forward and cheap to fix. Or simply take off, sand down and respray.
The rear wiper suddenly stopped working a few weeks back and may need a new wiper motor. Again not too difficult a job if you source the part yourself (I use GSF Car Parts / German and Swedish as they are far cheaper than Audi and supply genuine Audi parts) it won't cost that much.
The wheels could do with a refurb (costs about £40-£50 a wheel) to make the car look mint. As such I would say the car looks excellent and is one of the better kept cars.
I am trying to think of anything else minor but am scratching my head to come up with anything else. If I think of something I will update.
