Based on Glass's http://www.networkq.co.uk/buying/value-your-car/

Audi RS4 Avant
quattro
4.2 Petrol 5-door Estate
6 Speed Manual
Four Wheel Drive
Year: 2006 56
Mileage: 64,000

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £17900
Average condition: £16500
Below average condition: £14900

Tis only a guide and I'm not sure whether this is Septembers prices as they change around the start of the month.

Whats the spec?

Hi Steve,

If it's any help, i got an 07/07 saloon that i was looking at valued yesterday with 40,000 on, Cap was £22,500 Glass's guide, £22,650, October top book.

Depends how much profit they've got in the car you're looking at what you'll get bid, as always

All the dealers will have October guides now

Good luck

Glasses guides tbh are very old hat and dont reflect the market very well unless your buying a car off someone in which case its great due to heavily under valuing things.

I prefer to take a look whats for sale and i've also used that when speaking to dealers when trading in my car, They are more than happy i find to do this if you dare to question just how they value stuff.

You try find an RS4 at 14 k :bash:

That is bloody depressing reading if true as mine is only worth £12-13K? I've not seen an Avant for anywhere near that even adding on a few £K dealer margin. Is there such a drop due or is it just twaddle as usual?

Saying that looking at all available media sites I can't find an RS4 in good condition with simialr mileage and spec for less than 18K so take a dealer wants 3k margin in that it would be 15k so that is a long way from 12-13k

Must be a tempting option if you have back to invoice GAP on it...

When I was looking a few months ago, all the dealers were saying that it could cost them 1-2k to get a car ready for the forecourt (service/ tyres/ bodywork) as an Apporved Audi - I know that this was their patter, but still 4 new tyres are about a grand now adays. Looking at how many miles your car has done - I would say that if they wanted to re-sell the car - they would look at putting it up at ~£26 - so they would at least look at px at no more than around 20-21k. Having said which, I think it would go at auction for ~20k-21k (I saw a 75k mile 56 Avant go for £19 and a 40k mile 56 Avant go for 23k at auction) and you would certainly sell it privately for more if in good order. Whatcar.co.uk has a good calculator and you can always use webuyanycar.com to work out rough auction prices minus about 10%.

Tried a few places for trade ins, getting offered between 18k and 20k depending on what I was enquiring about. I've decided to keep hold of it fo a while at least. It's amazing how much fun it is to drive again after getting used to the golf oil burner.....

Bought a new warranty today for it.....
