2003 RS6 avant (under warranty)
It is with great reluctance that I am having to sell my car, having wanted one for so long. My wife does not want to return to work after baby and to reduce overheads the car will have to go. I have owned since July 2010 and have spent time and money getting the car to how I wanted her having sold an M3 to get a family car. I am a solicitor by profession and was not prepared to skimp on the car. Many people buy these cars but don't spend on them during ownership. Not happy to sell at all but needs must.
The specification is:
May (03) 2003 Mugello Blue Avant with unmarked white leather and superb Alcantara roof lining.
52,000 miles (increasingly slightly with driving to get baby asleep!!!)
Standard RS6 spec re: seats, climate, sunroof etc. Carbon trim (no wood!!)
Rear load fully fitted protection which covers hatch carpet area.
Custom made and fitted removable sunblinds for rear windows (still permits lowering of glass), quarter windows and tailgate glass. Superb and totally blocks sun whilst maintaining visibility.
Beautiful condition car both inside and out. Regularly washed/waxed and kept on private drive/garage. Neighbours could not believe that I had found a used car in such good condition.
New rear carpet mats.
Factory tinted rear windows/rear screen.
Refurbished standard RS6 alloys (cost me £240)
New Audi tyre valves and caps together with new pressure valves (total cost to me £400). I was not prepared to drive such a car with no working tyre monitor system.
New rear tyres last week, fronts as nearly new.
Maintained by MRC in Banbury. Standard exhaust but stage 1 tuned by previous owner (Ferrari owner) who spared no expense on maintenance. About 500 bhp.
Hotchkiss ARB's to improve handling/stability.
New front pads two months ago. Drilled RS6 plus front discs. Plenty of life left in them.
Cambelt not needed for two years.
Rear discs new about 18 months ago.
Battery last month (genuine Audi one)
Tracker.
Both keys.
Warrantied since I have owned it. Warranty is from Warrantywise who paid for DRC replacement and I consider them to be superb in all respects. Warranty transferable.
DRC done under warranty by Rob at Camberley Audi, still got 15 months warranty left.
Recent gearbox service, no issues. Car driven very sympathetically as I have a young child. Car used mainly by my wife who drive very carefully due to child!
RNSE (with instruction manual) with digital TV upgrade, 2010 Sat Nav and Bluetooth. TV works superbly through RNSE (no magic eye or other nasty add-ons).
Tax till next year, MOT May, I believe. No issues last time and certainly won't be any next time as car superb.
I am in no hurry to sell as I am simply going to buy another cheaper car to use daily if not sold for sensible price.
£14,999 or near offer.
Please pm for pictures and I will see what I can send to you.
I am happy for any inspection but test drives will only be permitted upon sight of validated fully comprehensive insurance for reasons I am sure you understand.

Hi
Is it a garage who will be taking the vehicle in part ex or a private seller? Only reason I ask is that the book value for an RS6 is substantially lower than what is the correct market value today.
I am just intrigued to see if they will try and 'pull your pants down.'
If you dont want to share the info then thats fine
Thanks

I love drag racing and track racing. I have had many fast cars and below is a short list of the ones most memorable.
MR2 Turbo REV2 (standard) > MR2 Turbo REV1 300HP> MR2 Turbo REV3 450HP (Nick Name Biscuit tin) > Celica GT4 ST205 WRC 300HP > R32 GTR 425HP > Honda Integra DC2 (standard) > EVO GSR 300HP > R32 GTR 450HP
Now on the hunt for an RS6

It is a dealer and they do agree that it is a beautiful car but it is not the sort of car that they put on the forecourt so they will auction it off. They are not being too silly on the price but it is a shame to let such a good car go to auction rather than an enthusiast who will be looking for the right car and the right spec.

Re: 2003 RS6 avant (under warranty)
Rather than respond individually some further answers to questions:
1. The brakes should be good for another 12 months. There is a spare new drilled disc which will reduce the price considerably of replacement and I used pagid pads which were fine.
2. I have never smoked in the car and I think it has had a smoke free life. It does have a first aid kit which is new from Audi.
3. It has had a new screen at some point
4. The bonnet and bumper are pretty much free from chips as I never tailegate due to risk of damage
5. The TV has digital radio and a usb input for pictures and movies
6. The tints on the rear are factory
7. The rear parcel shelf is present
8. I would only accept a part-ex of something german and diesel. Sorry but I am not really after that offer of a Ford Mondeo (made not by someone on here I would add)!!!
Hope this helps

Matt.
Sad day for you, but if you think any RS6 is a money pit, just wait till the kids get older!
I'd be interested in your experience of selling, especially the sort of viewer that various advertisers brought. I'm aware that is was advertised here and Autotrader. Was it advertised elsewhere and where did the sale come from?
I'm only interested because I feel mine will have to be sold soon. Kids eh?
Good luck.
Phill.

AT one call. Forum 4 enquiries. Those with the knowledge will probably go for a forum car as its easy to check what issues its had and been resolved
