SOLD - B7 RS4 Cabriolet 4.2 V8 For Sale

Post by smithy89 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 8:46 pm

Just put my B7 RS4 for sale on Pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3179918.htm

I've only owned it for just over a year and although i'd love to keep it, I work away in Switzerland and cant keep it bringing it to Switzerland without importing. I am getting a Left Hand drive so I will no longer need the RS4.

Had some great fun in this car, up and down the Stelvio Pass and Gotthard last year.

Advertised at £28,995 with 36k Miles

Just checking, your advert says it has carbon ceramic brakes yet the pics show black 'RS' front calipers which are for and look like fitted to the car steel discs?

Apologies, the brakes are the standard RS steel discs, not carbon. Tried to change ad. - Thanks P_G

Dropped the price again and trying it on Autotrader £24,995 ONO

Got to be honest - I've had little interest in the car

reality is, you are selling a cab at the WORST time of year, its Red (which I love, but not good for residuals) and its got no buckets ....

but, it is a lovely car, quite late on a '57 so I think it should sell pretty soon at that price

I didnt get any serious cash offers for mine when it was up for sale a couple of months ago ,just p/x offers.I traded it for £29K (2008 model) which I was quite happy with. The dealer sold it on within 2 weeks for around £33K.If you can wait untill the new year you should find it much easier to sell.

Get shot of it now if you can. RS4 prices are still falling and I doubt the usual spring bounce would make up for the fact thats four / five months away. Plus Audi will have almost certainly have previewed the forthcoming RS4 replacement by then which will only send B7 residuals one way.

Smithy, perhaps put some more info in the ad reference when it was last serviced, next one due, recent tyres, alloys unmarked etc. Selling a car which the new owner needs 'zero spend' (not just money but time and faff too) makes it more appealing. Also pop a few more photos in there - you've currently got the same pic twice.

Thanks for the feedback guys. In the meantime I still haven't sold it and personally took it off Autotrader over Christmas.

Its now being advertised and sold on my behalf by by Mercia Motors in Sheffield. Full information is on their site and also Autotrader.

http://www.merciamotors.co.uk/used-cars ... 1439711538

Update:
- New Rear Brake Discs (Sept 2011)
- New Rear Brake Pads (Sept 2011)
- New Front Brake Pads (Dec 2011)
- 2 new tyre pressure monitors (Dec 2011)
- Approx £1000 spent on the above with Audi Sheffield
- 4 x Wheels refurb (Jan 2012)
- Approx 11 months until next service due

Please note I am not a trader/ dealer, however I have put the car into the hands of Mercia motors in the hope of selling it as I am now based in Switzerland on a more permanent basis.
