*SOLD - B6 S4 Avant - 4.2 V8 - Manual - Ebony Black

Post by marv » Thu Jun 09, 2011 11:30 pm

****The car is now sold****

Hi all. I've been a member here since before I got my S4 a couple of years ago, and everyone here's been really friendly and helpful, so I wanted to advertise on the forums before the likes of ebay, PH etc. Also, I know that the forumites will give me good advice on how to tweak my ad if I need it. All comments welcomed! So here it is:

2004/04 BLACK AUDI S4 QUATTRO AVANT

I’m reluctantly selling my cherished Audi S4 Avant. I have a wedding to save up for, and due to this being our second car and a bit of a luxury, I’m giving it up to plough all of my money into savings!

4.2L V8 petrol, 6 Speed Manual, Estate,  Pearlescent Ebony Black paint, silver leather Recaro interior and carbon fibre trim. 62,000 miles.

PRICE £9,450 - Reasonable offers welcomed

FULL AUDI SERVICE HISTORY + TRANSFERABLE AUDI SERVICE PLAN  - See below for details

This is a truly underrated, very capable sports car which will not fail to impress. Very subtle and understated, yet seriously quick with 344hp and 410Nm of torque. A real wolf in sheep’s clothing. This car offers sports car performance and handling, renowned Audi quality, with room in the back for the kids and dog! How many other cars offer such luxury & practicality with the power and soundtrack of a 4.2 V8??

The car runs perfectly & pulls like a train!

There are some minor stone chips/scuffs/scratches around the exterior, which you would hope to see with a car this age (if you didn’t I’d be suspicious!) but they’re nothing serious.

The interior is in very good condition. A couple of minor scuffs on the leather and a bit of creasing on the driver’s side seat bolster, which is pretty normal with these cars. [EDIT]:The interior has all just been cleaned and conditioned with Gliptone Liquid Leather products. The cleaner, GT12, and conditioner, GT11, are pretty much the best out there for cleaning & conditioning leather, and they also add a really nice authentic leathery smell!

This car is still stock condition – it has no performance upgrades and has not been abused. Most of the miles I’ve covered in this car have been easy motorway miles.

18” Avus design alloy wheels complete with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 235/40 R18Y tyres (brilliant tyres – I did a lot of research before buying these!). The tyres all have about 5mm tread remaining, give or take a fraction.

MOT - Due in August, but I’ll extend it for the new buyer, so there will be around 12 months left from when you buy.

Tax - End of December.

Work done in my ownership:
Aux radiator replaced
New boot solenoid
New front discs & pads May 2011
New rear discs & pads Dec 2009
New tyres all around early 2010
4 wheel laser alignment performed by Audi following tyre fitting
New, uprated battery
All ignition coil packs replaced by Audi with upgraded versions

Optional extras:
Audi Sat Nav (integrated with dashboard display)
Symphony 6CD radio + 10 speakers
Cruise control
Front & rear distance sensors
Front centre armrest
Storage pack - adds under seat storage compartment, map pockets, ski hatch & bag (never used), boot load cover and luggage/privacy screen, which doubles as a dog guard.
Interior light pack - adds ambient lighting in footwells, doors, centre console and even inside the armrest!

LED Sidelight conversion (original bulbs also available)

Standard features:
Silver silk nappa leather Recaro sport seats with front & rear centre armrests
Electric front seats with electric lumbar adjustment.
Colour Driver Information System (trip computer)
Sport Steering wheel with `S` Badge emblem
Full size spare wheel
Legendary Quattro four wheel drive
Xenon headlights with auto washers
Split Folding rear seats
Sideguard airbag protection system
Servotronic steering
Electronic stability programme
Front & rear electric windows
Electric heated wing mirrors
Dual zone digital Climate Control
Aluminium door mirrors
Aluminium roof rails
Carbon fibre effect interior trim
2 remote keys + valet key
Traction control
ABS
CAT 1 Alarm/Immobiliser

There are several programmable features which I’ve enabled in the car’s software, such as:
- Anti-carjacking - car doors lock automatically when travelling above 10mph (unlock if crashed)
- Anti-thief protection - only the driver door unlocks on first press of remote unlock, two presses unlocks all doors
- Auto open/auto close of all windows using remote control
- Post lock “beep” - car beeps when it has been locked (saves me doubting whether I’ve locked the car!)
Any of these features can be removed prior to purchase if you desire.

Has been sold by Audi dealerships in the past, so for most of its life it has been covered by the comprehensive Audi warranty (including for the first year of my ownership), so any niggles have been dealt with before they became anything serious.

Servicing:
This car has been serviced in accordance with the Audi service schedule, and the next service is due at the end of this year. I have a transferable Audi service plan on the car, which runs until the end of September this year, so your next service should be free if you get it done a bit early.

Full service history
22/04/04 - Delivery Inspection/LongLife Service - Caffyns Audi, East Sussex
21/01/06 - LongLife Service at 19,062 miles - Eastbourne Audi
20/12/06 - Interim Service at 29,132 miles - Eastbourne Audi (brake fluid change)
18/12/07 - LongLife Service at 35,362 miles - Leicester Audi
02/12/09 - LongLife Service at 50,301 miles - Southampton Audi

03/11/10 - Oil Change at approx 57,000 miles (more regular oil changes are recommended for S4s by most people on Audi forums)

(I know I don't really need to add this last bit on an ad on these forums, but it'll be part of the ad when it's on ebay):
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING - NO CANVASSERS, TYRE KICKERS OR TEST PILOTS PLEASE. NO TEST DRIVES WITHOUT ID & PROOF OF INSURANCE

Thanks guys.

The sat nav is the BNS rather than the RNS-D/E, so it's all displayed in the DIS screen in the instrument panel, with controls just behind the gear stick, in front of the cigarette lighter.

When I first got the car I was tempted to retrofit the RNS-E because it looks fancier, but I found that the more I used the system in my car, the more I liked how you can control the nav really easily while driving, because you don't have to lean forward to the controls or move your eyes down to the display.

I must admit, on my RSNE system I mostly look at the DIS screen rather than the main sat nav screen.

Bump to say that I've just added to the advert to say that the interior has all just been cleaned and conditioned with Liquid Leather products so is now spick & span & smelling mint!
