B7 RS4 - Wanted

Post by V6STR » Fri Apr 07, 2023 9:37 pm

Looking for a low mileage B7 ideally Yellow or White …… should be easy surely????

Any help in locating the right car would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Good luck! I think there were around 8 Imola Yellow cars brought to the UK (mix of Avant and Saloon) and probably even less in White ... so finding one will be hard. Finding a low mileage one? Close to impossible! I was on the lookout for a low mileage Imola Yellow Saloon for 3 years before I gave up and went for a different colour.

I’d start looking for a needle in a haystack, might be an easier option .

Maybe have to open up all options on colour ……. sticking with the low mileage option however.

Cheers.

Personally I wouldn’t get to hung up on mileage, look at work carried out & stand in front of the car & look round it, from my limited knowledge/understanding low mileage can be a false economy. Just my thought/opinion, good luck on the hunt.

Low mileage is absolutely a false economy unless the OP wants to buy one, store it, take it out a few times per year and add a couple of hundred miles per year and repeat. Otherwise I agree with you, better to buy an example that's had the big jobs/major work done and just enjoy adding miles. The issue with a lot of low mileage RS4's is that as they are now a 16-18 year old car, they've spent most of their lives sat or SORN'd, and therefore haven't had any of the known issues fixed. So you could spend big money on finding one on sub 50k mileage, but then you need to put another £10-15k aside to sort failing DRC, leaking oil cooler, aux rads, carbon clean, exhaust. These jobs will always need doing, unless they've been done already, which on a lot of low mileage cars - they haven't. Add bushes and other suspension components to your list, and hope that other parts of the car aren't seized through lack of use too. I say this as someone who viewed lots and lots of RS4's before finally buying mine, and the low mile examples were often in the worst mechanical condition.

Good Luck on the imola
I Had one back around 10 years ago B7 Avant as well, it was very nice immaculate sold £23k at the time with 36k miles bargain now it would be at this price today.
Well I tried buying another B7 but given up as cannot wait so, I have brought another make of car of a collector and a very good price, while I have to wait another year for my new car to arrive.

Good Luck with the search.

To all those that have replied via the post above or PM’s, many thanks. Although the search for the proverbial needle in a haystack continues, I’m happy to wait for the right car.
Although Audi exclusive paint, sub 40k miles and an Avant were my “must have 100%”, at times it looks like the needle I’m looking for must be in a barn full of haystacks. I have given some serious thought to looking for a saloon so hopefully I’ve broadened the search considerably …… well, a little at least.
I have a healthy budget for the right car, here’s hoping.

Cheers.

Time to resurrect post in the hope someone out there has a very nice low owner, low mileage RS4, preferably an Avant and ideally Imola yellow or white.
I appreciate it’s a huge ask, but if you don’t ask you don’t get.
Healthy budget for the right car.

Thanks again.

If you are on Instagram try a DM to jasongti he has a imola yellow avant that I believe to be hitting the market for sale soon. Could be that needle you’re looking for.

Looks like it’s done 150,000 miles if it’s B7RSX.
I know mileage isn’t the whole story but maybe a little too much for my liking.

Thanks for pointing me in his direction though, much appreciated.

How about a good used RS4, in any colour, then just wrap it?
