Wanted RS4 B7 - Purple? or am I dreaming

Hi All,

Finally, I am in the market of buying an RS4 B7 after all these years of looking and dreaming!!!

Although the current climate isn't great, and there is a lot of uncertainty on what's going to happen.
I don't think I can wait for another year to go by without purchasing one of the best cars Audi has ever made!

So, I'm hoping you guys can help, advise and make any recommendations in joining the RS4 B7 community!

It will not be a daily, more of a weekend car, with the odd commute and hopefully many enjoyable long drives up & down the country.

My Wishlist:
Saloon or Avant with FSH (prefer looks of saloon)
Purple as I also have a Corrado VR6 in Blackberry, I know I won't find one, so will have to settle with one of the other desirable colours.
Below 100k Mileage (as I will be doing anything from 5-8k miles in the first year)
Wingback
DRC replaced with good adjustable setup,
De-Coke
MRC or AMD Re-Map
Milltek Non-Res

I know its a long shot, waiting for a purple b7 RS4, so the next choice would be Blue or Black, maybe Grey.

Hey guys,

I was looking at this example in black which has been reserved, but the garage have another one in Blue (Avant) with half leather wingbacks!

Is that something not to miss out on or is it worth paying less for one with more common issues being sorted and lower mileage?

Half leather buckets (never wing-backs) were the race cloth option which are pretty rare. Don't think they are worth more though. I prefer them over full leather to be honest.

But judge the car on condition and maintenance routine rather than spec. I would take a well maintained car with comforts and the multi-function steering wheel over a car with buckets and a flat bottomed wheel but had been neglected.

Bits can be swapped over later if needed.

I have seen a couple of black cherry RS4 B7's over the years for sale but they don't come up for sale often.

Is any colour more desirable over the other in terms of resale value? I like the mugello blue, but it seems that most like sprint blue or grey?

No, people will try and ask for more for a rare colour like Imola Yellow but these cars are harder to move on as more limited market.
