I have owned this car since 2006. It was my daily driver for about 3 years but the time has come to move her on.She has been professionally modified with only the best parts. the car is a beast. It runs around 585bhp (rolling road printouts available). Some of the spec includes:

DUH front mounted intercooler
welded Y-pipe
high pressure fuel pump
forged pistons and rods
2.4 cylinderheads (bigger inlets)
stronger head bolts
uprated head gaskets
uprated bearings
new battery
K&N air filter
custom remap
uprated front and rear antiroll bars
uprated springs and shock absorbers
Limited slip rear diff
RNS-E stereo and satnav unit - virtually impossible to fit
rain sensing wipers
Bose sound system
DVB-T tv system
DVD player
reversing camera
removable towbar
custom painted black original alloys
chromework all custom painted in black
RS4 (b7) and RS6 front brake conversion (immense stopping power)
uprated injectors
miltek exhaust
custom 3 inch downpipes
RS6 turbos (modified to fit)
performance monitor in replacement of centre air-vent (reads data from ecu)
boost gauge in right airvent
factory Bluetooth
tubular ceramic coated exhaust manifolds
heated seats
quickshift gear change
xenon lights

I have dozens of receipts and invoices, the original owners folder and service book. Much of the work was done by MRC Tuning.

I dread to think what I have spent on the car but it must run to well in excess of £30000.

The spec on it is unbelievable. It has been my pride and joy. I have timed it to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and yet can transport my 4 children in comfort and is an amazing daily driver.

This is a chance to own what is destined to be a guaranteed classic that looks standard but is very professionally modified.Best of both worlds!

The car is almost 20 years old so there are one or 2 defects which are - the cruise control doesn't work properly (I'm sure it is a plug that just needs replugging in as it worked fine for years), one of the wheels had a puncture and it turned out to be a crack in the alloy - the spare is on and the other one needs welding), front grills are in the car and need fitting over the intercooler pipes (I left them off for the photos), the airbag light has started to stay on (easy fix) and there is a tiny chip in the windscreen on the passenger side.

I own a garage as part of my business and so in general if something has needed doing I have got it done.

the car is MOTd.

£40,000 ono

I do appreciate that this is a high price for a B5, however this is such a well sorted car. it would cost significantly more to buy a good example and bring the car up to this spec. These cars were made in such low volumes that the prices are sure to sky-rocket. I'd hold on to her but sadly i simply don't have the room :-(

I don't normally comment on for sale threads but you cant be serious at that price? Looks rough and generally presented in a real bad way! :boohoo:

At that price I would expect to pick up a mint 20k mile standard example :jump:

TBH I think you'll need to readjust one of the pics on the car, as it's your pride and joy, the screen wash needs filling up!! - it's the little details like that which differentiate something that's loved and cherished rather than just a daily sh1tter that pops to the supermarket and drops the kids off at school

Love the colour though...

This is the bit I like -
"I own a garage as part of my business and so in general if something has needed doing I have got it done"...... but the cruise control doesnt work, might be just a plug.

Real shame as the car has had some superb upgrades.
Also, replace the header tank and clean the engine bay!

Love the B5, so good luck with the sale.
