Condition:
Bodywork - Free of dents and dings across all panels. No major scratches and the occasional wash related marring could be detailed out. The lower front end and forward facing arch does show stone related marking which is to be expected of its mileage and more obvious on black paint. There is small under paint bubble on the edge of the front arch where it meets the arch liner. Chrome trim on rear boot entry and front end were recently replaced (58k and 64k) and only the trim around the doors shows slight milking common on the B7
Wheels - Refurbed 3 years ago and have no kerbing related marks. There are a few stone chops and some minor under surface corrosion showing
Tyres - Goodyear Eagle F1 275’s which have been recently rotated so now with (v. approx) 6mm front and 5mm rear even wear across the tyre and no cuts or bulges
Brakes - Recent caliper refurb (Aug 2018 / 69k) and remain in great condition. Pads are at around 80% rear and 70% front. Discs will need replacing with the next set of pads
Suspension - I recently (68k) raised the ride height of the KW v3 coilovers as I wasn’t keen on the arch overlapping the wheel as set by the previous owner and along with this a 4 wheel alignment and health check was completed with no issues to report
Interior - I’d say after seeing quite a few others the interior is in the top 5% in terms of condition. Wear levels on the leather are very low and bolsters are not deformed or showing wear. No interior parts are broken or scratched. In 2015 @ 60k the lower steering trim replacement means the most common wear item is as new. Comes with 3 sets of mats (show/daily/winter). Recent repair to the armrest clip and glovebox damper means all the usual known weak points on the interior have been addressed
Electrical - I have recently corrected a simple wiring issue with the radio which caused it to not illuminate with the headlights and not show in the DIS which was the only electrical issue I found. It starts single press on the start button without delay on a cold start so all relays and related switch gear are good. Bluetooh works perfectly with my iPhone 8 for both calls and music streaming
Its been a joy to get the chance to drive a car of this spec as each of the modifications add a real edge to the car over my previous sprint blue avant which was mainly stock. The exhaust is perfect and my initial fears of it being overly loud were dispelled on the first journey and the mechanical feel of the shifter being spot on with the extra weight the jhm kit adds. Throttle response and torque remind just how good this engine can be and backed up with the brake line and pad upgrades the braking system matches the engines pace with great feel and assurance . This is how I want my next B7 to be only avant form again, sad to think Audi won’t produce a car like this again. This hit home the day I let my son start the car and the look on his face made me realise the cars of his generation might not evoke the same emotions at startup
Huge respect has to go out to the previous owners as it wouldn’t have been in this condition after this time without some serious care and attention.
Let me know if there are any other details that are needed or any general questions on the car. I'm based in Glasgow, Scotland and can happily do a FaceTime/WhatsApp video call for those further afield to show you around the car.

I knew this car back in it’s first ownership, but it was already a really well looked after car, and was trying stuff (under really good ownership) way ahead of anything else. First carbon clean, first catch-can etc. It also had an exhaust that woke the dead...

Re: RS4 B7 Saloon Phantom Black RS04 RAW - MRC Stage 2
Yeah I spotted you down one evening but didn't want to come knocking at the door as your sister already thinks I'm enough of a car weirdo as it is "is he still washing that car"
I've accumulated a small collection of bits and pieces which might be of use to you so ring the bell next time your round and you can take anything you need
Come on Harman, you know you want to...... if the roadworks are still on the M6 you'll get 28.6mpg like I did, that has to be an RS4 world record
Thanks fairzy
Its got a great story for sure, thankfully all that provenance has been retained and not shredded "because of data protection" like a dealer would.Dom81 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:19 pmI knew this car back in it’s first ownership, but it was already a really well looked after car, and was trying stuff (under really good ownership) way ahead of anything else. I bought a 997 c4s from Peter Vardy and that was their line when I asked to see the paperwork, which told me how much they understood modern classics. Ironically they now have Peter Vardy heritage which I'm sure they will be happy to show all you would expect to see.

Perfect I'll pop in when I'm down. Might want to teach her how to clean hers!jonnyp wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 1:28 amYeah I spotted you down one evening but didn't want to come knocking at the door as your sister already thinks I'm enough of a car weirdo as it is "is he still washing that car"

GLWS, Its through Harmans ownership that I was inspired to get one myself! By chance happened to pick one up with an almost identical number (ROW instead of RAW)
Wont be long before someone snatches this off you!
