Car is finished in metallic black, with factory optional black optics pack (which removes exterior chrome), and black sports interior, with piano black trim inlays. As hopefully comes across in the pictures, the car is beautifully maintained, and with several "big ticket" servicing items recently completed, is ready to be enjoyed by it's next custodian.
Desirable Factory Extras:
These cars were naturally very highly specced when new, but in addition to this, the following options were specified on this car.
- Flat bottom sports steering wheel.
- Sport seats with adjustable bolsters ("Bucket"/"Wingback" seats).
- Sat-Nav.
- Bluetooth.
- CD Multichanger.
- Heated Seats front and rear.
Aftermarket Extras:
Whilst almost completely factory original, there are a couple of aftermarket accessories fitted to the car just to enhance it further.
- MRC Tuning ECU calibration, which smoothes power delivery, and helps the car generate the factory correct 420+ Bhp (which standard cars invariably do not).
- Milltek stainless steel exhaust. With valves fitted (as per factory system) to allow louder or quieter running which really brings out the V8 rumble.
Servicing and Maintenance:
As you can imagine, the car has been fully maintained throughout it's life, with a fully stamped service book. Carried out in line with service schedule, at Audi main dealers, and RS independent specialists. In my ownership it has been cared for with a no expense spared approach at MRC Tuning in Banbury, with the intention of the car being a "keeper".
In addition to this, recent big-ticket service Items include....
- Major Service - Incl. all fluids.
- Carbon Clean.
- DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) factory standard suspension refurbished, re-gassed, and all working as it should.
- New brake discs and pads all round.
- OEM Sat-Nav/Headunit refurbished (wasn't reading discs).
- 4x factory spec Pirelli tyres.
The car comes with a fresh, clean MOT, carried out last week.
Cosmetic Condition:
Despite having covered 97,000 miles, the car is cosmetically the car is in great shape, with unmarked alloy wheels, though naturally there are some small marks here and there in keeping with the car's mileage. To look at, you'd never guess the mileage. The nose is stone-chip free, having recently been resprayed whilst repairing a small dent in the front fender.
A very reluctant sale of this utterly brilliant do-it-all car, the last of the naturally aspirated, manual gearbox super wagons. Sadly though, with a young baby in the household, not every car on the fleet can be a toy.
