I'm on the lookout for an RS4 and found the below advert on Pistonheads.

Looks clean and is fairly well specced but all the advert goes on about is what it has spec wise, doesn’t mention anything about what it’s had done maintenance wise, drc, oil cooler etc. It’s also quite pricey for what it is, especially if it hasn’t had any of common problems addressed.

Looks nice but seems expensive for the mileage even if it has had all the big ticket items done.

And are they having a laugh about the number plate? R54 OYD = RS4 On Your Drive. Really?

I was going to contact them regarding the maintenance, no mention at all seems a little concerning.

They've already dropped the price by £500 and it's only been advertised a week, I believe.

It's back on. I had a look at the MOT history, not the most confidence inspiring with tyres and brakes being worn very low. Doesn't strike me as well looked after by previous owners, I suspect.

To be fair when I asked if you'd contacted him I was hoping for some info from you if you had. Reason was I'd verbally agreed to buy this car after negotiating a price subject to it matching his description last week. Was meant to have collected it yesterday, however when contacting audi regarding service history it revealed a few discrepancies ie Audi not seen it in there network since 2009. When I questioned it I got copies of the service book mostly full of fast fit tyre centre service stamps. Seller not aware of common probs on these also. Car looks very tidy and a nice spec but he was 300 miles from me and I didn't want to waste my time if alarm bells were already chiming. If he were much closer I would have viewed and Sussed it out then.

Non specialist servicing with poor upkeep demonstrated by the MOT history doesn't give much confidence been looked after properly. But, as you say, it's well spec'd.

I'm holding out for a sprint blue, everyone says they are the fastest...

Well I went and viewed this car yesterday and then onto another I had arranged last week. I was disappointed to be fair I've had lots of chats with the owner and he described it as mint. It was far from mint and still lots of gaps in paperwork and not impressed At all with it, it drove ok but cosmetically along way off what I would want. Second car was a beauty and is now sat in my garage after a 330 mile trek home today.
