SOLD - Black RS6 C5 Plus 2004 (Exclusive Pack) 562BHP, 870 Nm - Cognac Interior

Post by yorkrs6+ » Tue Oct 02, 2018 10:15 am

After much deliberation, I’ve finally decided to find a new owner for my RS6.
It will only be advertised on here, and that’s by design.

I’m not desperate to sell it.
I don’t need the cash either.
I’ve relocated to central London and for the past few years I’ve simply not driven it enough.
It’s part of a car collection, which I’ve decided to off load
Advertising on here is about finding a new owner who will appreciate all the work that has been completed.
I will say... no silly offers or quotes about book values and alike. The right owner will pay whatever they are prepared to pay.

So, those who are serious about owning my RS6 will know this isn’t about the book value, and more about what’s been done, and what they won’t have to spend.
If you want a bargain, there’s plenty under £10k. But I say this with absolute conviction, I guarantee these will cost you four times that to get to where mine is. The list of things my RS6 has had done, you can look forward to having to replace. Which is why RS6 ownership isn’t about grabbing a bargain.

Had I known what I now know about ownership, then I dare say I probably would have never have bought mine all those years ago. I was late to this forum, and and didn't do my home work before buying mine. I loved the colour, the fact it was a plus, and the cognac interior really sold it.
However, I fell into the trap that many have fallen into, going past the point of no return with a repair. I just accepted my mistake, and instead made a bad decision into a hobby spanning many years.
So many other owners have been less fortunate, which is why so many have been scrapped and broken for parts. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking a low mileage minter is going to work out better in the long term. Most C5 RS6 owners will have the pains of ownership shared on here, which is why it’s very important to find one which has been invested in regardless of cost. This a modern classic, and iconic car, and mine needs a good home to go to.

RS6 C5 Plus, nos 279, 562BHP, 870 Nm
Present Mileage: 157k
I’m the 3rd owner spanning 8 years. The longest I’ve ever owned a car, which says a lot.

History:
The gearbox was replaced by main dealer under warranty @ 60k miles – 2nd owner

The only mistake I’ve ever made was to replace the DRC to coil overs. It has always been a regret and my intention to go back to the DRC setup.
The alloys have aged through lack of use, so these will be refurbished as part of the sale.
The tyres are Mitchelin ps3, and have covered appox 4k miles.
The winter tyres have only seen 1k miles at the most.
I picked up a few stone chips since the respray in 2015, and I will have these sorted for the new owner.
It is also due a service with MRC and it will have a full health check, and anything that flags up sorted before hand over to it’s new owner.
The picture of the brakes and coil overs were taken in 2012.
The brakes disks and pads were replaced in 2016. The car has done 6k miles since they were replaced. The respray and Recaro CS seats were completed in 2015 and early 2016.
PM me for my contact details, I’ll be happy to have a proper chat about this car.
Thanks for looking

Imo the best colour combo out there (wouldn't have the brakes that colour though).
Have I missed the price or wasn't it in the advert?

Good luck with the sale anyhoo, I love this car.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!
