Be careful of this S6

Just a heads up , i looked at this S6 2 months ago and it had 89,000 miles on it see cazana -

Just seen it advertised on Autotrader with 82,000 miles -

Cazana does its weird 'estimated mileage' thing though.
It looks at how many miles it's done between its last Mot, and then guessed what it's on now, assuming it's still adding mileage at the same rate. It's almost certainly never reached 89k

Autotrader says 83k, Cazana says estimated 84k... not sure that's enough to be worried about.

I understand what cazana does , but i spoke to the dealer that had it 2 months ago and it had 89k miles on it . I saw pictures of the clocks with the miles on.
It has 100% been clocked.

nobody will clock a car of that age for less than 10k miles
it will be a typo or the deliberate methods some dealers use for their stock-ie 80 odd k=89,750 etc

It has been 100% clocked m8.
I was looking to buy the car in Feb this year and the miles were 89k i even said to the dealer if it was lower i would of had a deal with it. I saw pictures of the clocks showing 89k.
Fast forward 2 + months its for sale privately showing on the sale pics and advertised 82k.

what would be the point i knocking under 10k off it -no real difference in price/value etc ? strange discrepancy maybe but i wouldnt think its foul play...honestly?
as of yet mot history[what there is] looks right

It means a car which has gone beyond 20,000 miles without going to Audi (hence no longer has FASH) magically has FASH again. Saves bothering to service it!
