As a result of a baby arriving later this year, I've decided to sell my 2007 (56) RS4 Avant and buy something more sensible, sadly.

Car is black with a light grey leather interior piped in black, with Recaro seats (not buckets) and flat-bottomed wheel. Tints to the rear windows. Has sunroof, Bose sound system, rear window blinds, Audi-fit sat-nav, cruise control etc.

Currently on 58.8k miles (with MOTs to back this up) although total is going up as the car is in use daily.

The wheels could do with refurbishment, and there are some minor stone chips to the front end, but otherwise the car is in excellent condition inside and out - see pics below. Front brakes/pads were done by Guildford Audi when I bought the car (so have around 8k miles on them) and the rears were done more recently. Car had two new Pirellis on the front at Christmas, so these have done around 3-4k miles. Suspension was checked last time the car was serviced (Jan) and all is well, with no suspension issues. Next service is due in around 12k miles, according to the computer.

Since I've owned it, the car has been maintained only by Wimbledon Audi - Ben, the RS tech there can tell you about it if needed. Generally if something has needed doing, I've done it immediately regardless of cost and the car has been well looked after. In terms of previous history, this is mostly with Milton Keynes Audi from new (with stamps to show), although there is one service with an independent garage (prior to my ownership). Other than that one, all stamps are from Audi main dealers. I have the original manuals, service record, book pack and two keys.

Car will come on an RS4 number plate as part of the deal (but is currently on my own private plate, which will be removed before sale). Car is located in Kingston, Surrey.

Don't do it! RS4 avant is good as a family car...2 kids in mine (my daughter since she was a newborn).

I love the car (it has so much character) and it is quite practical, but just not big enough sadly. I want something with space for two child seats and buggy with plenty of room to spare so am looking at boring SUVs. Sadly.

If you want more room and genuinely want to keep the car, buy a roof box. That's where we used to put the pram and a whole host of other crap that we thought we'd need on trips away.

Thanks - I have considered that and I'm sure it would work. But we are likely to do a lot of driving in Europe with the baby in the next year and while I'd obviously love to do that in the RS4, the missus has decided the running costs are too high when she won't be earning...

So its got to go I'm afraid - and ideally pre-Sept.

As I've said, I'd consider sensible offers. The car is not absolutely perfect cosmetically, but well looked after and low mileage.

No interest in this, it seems.
