Now gone to a good home!
I’ve had a great time running what has been the best car that still brings a smile to my face every time I start it, but with a growing family it is time for something a little bigger and somebody else to take over the reigns. I bought it in April 2013 with 52,000 miles on the clock and have kept up the high level of maintenance from the previous owners; two of whom are RS246 members, so it is definitely a ‘forum car’

Brakes
The front brakes are the original, factory ceramics and the pads were replaced at 52,098 miles. Rear discs and pads were replaced in April 2014 at 68,861 miles
Suspension
I drove several RS4s with standard suspension, but my personal preference by far was the Sports Suspension Plus (SS+) that lowers and stiffens the car further and gave what I felt was a far better handling ride. Both front DRC shocks and the valves were replaced at 31,179 miles in March 2011 by Audi as part of their goodwill program. OSR DRC shock was replaced in August 2014 by MRC and the system pressure checked; it has been faultless since. All the upper suspension arms were replaced by MRC at the same time as the rear DRC.
Engine and Drivetrain
The car has a full service history, having been serviced every 10,000 miles (no long life servicing!) with other works carried out as needed in between. All servicing has been either Audi or Audi specialists MRC and APS. Last service was July 22nd 2015 at 92,746 miles, with spark plugs replaced (air filter is BMC so not changed) and there were no advisories from the system scans. In August 2014 the oil cooler lines were replaced by MRC as a precaution as they had started to corrode (well known potential issue). A full carbon clean was done at 69,680 miles and most CV boots have been replaced in the last year.
The stock exhaust has been replaced from the manifold back with the glorious sounding Milltek system. Catalysts are Milltek high-flow and the resonated centre section and valves let you keep the car nice and quiet when it needs to be, but full on V8 growl and howl when you want.
Clutch was replaced with a complete Sachs unit in 2011 (mileage not recorded in the receipt) and MOT month is April with last one in 2015 having no advisories.
Body and Interior
I’ve always washed the car with the two bucket method and waxed a couple of times a year and the bodywork is in overall excellent condition. There are no dings or dents on the bodywork, but there are stone chips on the front bumper and a shallow scratch on the bonnet. I had the front bumper fully repainted at 61,000 miles by Brin Jones in Bristol due to stone chips and it could be done again. I’ve had a quote from Brin Jones for £350 for blending the bonnet and the bumper, but have left it for the new owner to see as you may have a preferred bodyshop.
The interior is in great condition, with the leather having had a regular Gliptone ‘feed’. Personal preference again, but I find that the aluminium trim and light headlining makes for a brighter and much less enclosed feeling to the cabin.
The Sat Nav DVD is the original from 2007, and does have read errors sometimes, but I have used the hardwired USB cable to run a TomTom GO that is frankly a better nav system so I have not sourced a new DVD.
Two of the wheels were refurbished by Lepsons in March this year and there are one or two minor scuffs on the other alloys. All tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s. I have a second set of OEM alloys with Vredestein Wintrak Extreme tyres that may be for sale later, so the Goodyears have only seen use in Spring and Summer
Hopefully you will see that this is a pretty well specified car that has been maintained to a high standard should give the new owner as much fun and enjoyment as I have had. Please get in touch with any questions or more details wanted; PM or on 07813 830535.
Cheers
Jonathan
An obvious nod to Stu for the advert format. It looks like we have very similar cars and your ad would make me want to buy, so I hope you don’t mind me borrowing your style.
