I get the 7 seats, but that chews into boot space. Overall capacity is not that much different. If you can get four up plus camping gear in an A6......

It's not the 7 seats I need, they will be folded flat.

It's the ability to have two car seats and a fully grown adult in the rear bench that counts. Plus the much bigger boot.

I had a C7 before the B8 and I can confidently tell you the difference between the two is huge.

Furry muff. I'd do anything to swerve the bus that is a derv Q7. I think it's easy to get a big car and fill it....if you didn't have the choice I reckon you'd manage through compromise somewhere.

Won't a roof box solve the problem?

+1. I was able to cart 2 kids and all their crap in a BMW 3 Series coupe with a roof box for those rare occasions when more space was needed. No problem whatsoever. Waaaaaay cheaper than changing a car.

As KMP states, 2 seats plus an adult is the challenge...... I know for a fact that this isn't possible. Unless the adult is Kylie Minogue (yes I tried and she just about squeezed in).
